Summary: I am a diehard BB fan however, I am very disappointed in the BB Q10. I love the sleek line and feel of the phone and the awesome keyboard but it stops there. Even though there seems to a lot of Apps, the apps that I want and need are not there! And then there are apps that are NOT appropriate at all! The battery life is not what is advertised at all. I use my phone for the slightest thing and the battery go downs.
Summary: Picked one up because of my love for the Bold of the past but this phone doesn't add up. First if you use google apps for your business it won't sync deleted mail just marks them as read. Remember how old bolds would sync 10,000K contacts well don't try it with this bold it never fully syncs instead you got to search online and add them. Keyboard is cool but I no longer feel it's faster than touch phone and some ways slower.
Excerpt: I have had this phone for about two months. I was able to upgrade my Blackberry 9720, I read the reviews and thought the Q10 would be a good replacement, especially as I like to have proper buttons. Unfortunately, i've been quite disappointed with it. The keypad is excellent, the screen is a good size and internet pages load quickly, but that's about it for me. There are lots of annoying little things about it, for example...

Excerpt: The Q10 is a good looking device with big a big chunky keypad. Feels great in the hand and has some good apps for the new BBRY software. The deal breaker for me is that you cannot synch directly on an ongoing basis with a PC using a USB cable as you could with every other BBRY that preceded it. One way, one time synch only. Apparently it might work with the Cloud. Lots about this problem on the BBRY Forums / Crackberry.
Summary: The hardware Q10 is nice with a good quality feel. The keyboard is an acceptable size and the action is ok if a little loose and not as positive as the old Nokia E6 it replaced for me. The lack of a track pad for the most part hasn't been a problem other than when trying to place the cursor, when editing text. The touch screen solution is fussy, fiddly and inprecise. Despite a few UI niggles, the BB10 internet browser is excellent.
Pros: Good hardware, quick and responsive, removable battery, very good internet browser
Cons: BB10, limited user options and control, can't remove BBM, constantly forces a data connection
Excerpt: I got my new Q10 yesterday and am having a number of growing pains. Got used to the swiping motion required to close tiles, etc. but had a hard time with data transfer from my old blackberry via blackberry link. Finally got things transferred but my contacts and calendar are really messed up - especially the calendar with numerous duplicate entries from past calendar months. If I can't resolve the issues, this blackberry is going back!
Excerpt: I just got this phone and thinking to return it. If you are a blackberry user you are going to miss the advanced settings you are used to. Navigating through the phone is great. The hardware is nicely designed. I no longer have the choice to delete an email on my hand held only or on server as well, now I have to sign on to my email on my computer to delete what not needed.
Excerpt: I upgraded from a 9700 to the Q10.
The phone felt good in the hand but I found there were some substantial issues that had no resolutions. The phone will get much better when the issues are resolved.
If you are using a POP server for mail and you delete the messages from the phone, it deletes from the server. There are no settings to disable this. The 9700 had an option to keep the mail on the server. This does not appear to be currently available on the Q10.
