Excerpt: This was my very first smartphone, and it was good while it lasted. But when it's bad, it's horrible. It freezes everyday more than once a day. I have great difficulty running apps like facebook and twitter.
Pros: Call quality, Camera, SureType technology, Display, Battery, Built sturdy
Cons: Trackball stops responding, Freezes eveeryday, more than once a day, The phone lags a lot, The internet could be a lot better, Cannot send/recieve emails while talking, Cannot web browse while talking
Excerpt: I have a 3.0 rating because the trackball stopped entering on my Pearl after 1 year of normal use with a gel case and inivisishield on the phone. It had heavy use, but none I'd see that would effect the ball on it.
Excerpt: When I first got this phone I loved it. I have now owned it for almost a year and I am ready to get a new phone. Pro's: -Scrolling with the ball is great -E-mail is super quick -E-mail and texting is really easy on the keyboard once you get used to it. Con's: -Drops calls at random.
Excerpt: I should have known. A $75 blackberry after rebates seemed desirable. Of course, there's a reason for this "great" price. Like many have said before, the phone WILL erase your call log, test messages and emails if it feels a need to free up memory.
Excerpt: I really like that this phone is small, however I realized that my previous dumb phone was easier to use. First, the keyboard keys are really tight. I don't have big fingers, so I don't know how anyone who does would be able to use this phone.
Pros: Small size, fast email.
Cons: No dedicated speakerphone, so you can't switch to speaker if you are checking a message of viewing your phone book during a call. Problems syncing with bluetooth. Have to manually change time zone; does not give message notification when not in the home screen; when used with Sprint service canno...
Excerpt: The Pearl 8130 (I have Verizon) is my first smartphone. What attracted me to it was the reviews on how it handled email, the nice display, the fact that it was smaller than smartphones, and a desirable cost. All of the above are true. The pros: -Handles email superbly.
Excerpt: the internet comes in handy many times but i hate how it's so laggy sometimes and when i want to go back a page, it ends up just bringing me to my regular blackberry menu. also, i had problems with the memory stuff so my phone would once in a while erase my call logs and text messages.
Pros: CUTE., internet comes in handy.
Cons: SLOW AS HELL., ERASES MY LOGS FROM TIME TO TIME., NO GET IT NOW!
Excerpt: When I first got the phone it was great. Fast internet browser (for a phone), great features and extra-ordinary organizational ability, great for people who have trouble remembering their entire schedule or just simply want to get more organized.
Excerpt: i really like the phone because of all the features that the phone has but i have way better signal with sanyo phones, plus i have to re-boot the phone every other day because it keeps erasing my message and calls by itselft, and this is my second one, i wish i can change it for a better one...
Excerpt: I have been having trouble with the phone erasing my text and call log in addition to the phone freezing up and turning off. Sprint replaced the phone, but it still is not working properly. When it works, it is a great phone.
