Summary: Good phone, but the BB service provided by Orange in the D.R. Has not worked. I can get calls ad receive them, I can even send texts abroad, but when it comes to service with BB, I have not been able to get that working at all. Someone said the operating system might be outdated and by not being able to use a newer version of the operating system, that could be creating a communication conflict, so be sure to find out what OS is compatible with your carrier B4 purhase.
Not sure what all the Crackberry is about with this one'

Excerpt: I definitely like this phone, but it seems so archaic. After seeing what the iPhone can do, I paid the same price for something that does A LOT less. It's difficult when trying to find simple things like changing the ring tone or tunring certain things off and on. My only regret is that I didn't exchange it for the iPhone when I had the chance.
Excerpt: I have had my Blackberry Pearl 8120 for about 3 months now. I like the look and style of it but the only thing I am not happy with is the keys. Because there is more than one letter on each key it is hard to text if you just want to send out short little texts. However, I find that easy to adjust to. Another disadvantage is the pearl. I find that it gets stuck sometimes. I dont know if it is because there is dirt around or if it is just the phone acting up.
Excerpt: I've owned my blackberry pearl for nearly a year and a half. I must say,at first I was completely enthralled by it, but now, it's more trouble than it's actually worth. It is an easy way to keep track of tasks, send emails, text messages, picture messages, and even go on myspace and facebook. But the bad things about it, I think, outweigh the good. For example, it constantly freezes up, no matter whether I am multitasking with it or not.
Excerpt: I have been waiting such a long time to get my blackberry pearl - but now that I have it I must say I am very disappointed. I feel that I paid a pretty good sum of money for this just close to what you can buy an Iphone for and I wish I would have done a little more research prior to spending my money on this.
Excerpt: When I first got my Blackberry Pearl 8120 I was so excited to use all of the cool apps that were advertised. I liked the size of the Pearl, because I thought the Curve was a little too big. The first thing I found out that I disliked after getting it home was that the buttons were quite small, and I find myself hitting the wrong one alot. Also, the fact that there are two letters of the alphabet on each button is another pain. I do use the word prefill feature, but...
Excerpt: This phone was great! When I first bought the phone it was very hard to get used to texting with it because the keyboard on the phone is not in alphabetical order but in the order of the keyboard. But wait, because the phone is thinner there are numerous letters on each key so you still had to rely on T9. This was unfortunate but was not bad.
Excerpt: i personally have never been a fan of blackberry. i don't think it's all it's cracked up to be. i think they are too pricey and i think that some nokia simple phones have more features than these blackberry phones. and best they are more durable !! blackberry phones are ok, probably if there is not nokia i would go with it but i still think they are overrated..plus the thing that is so bad about these older blackberry phones is the track ball.
Excerpt: This isn't the first blackberry I've owned and it will not be my last. However it is also not my favorite ! I bought it because of it's smaller size. I figured fully functional in a smaller, cuter and more lady like package. It can do anything any other blackberry can do. It's got a great battery life, a super camera, my calls are clear and reception is impeccable. There are a million applications available to help simplify and organize your life.
Blackberry Pearl 8120 nice introduction to smart phones
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The Blackberry Pearl 8120 was the first smart phone I purchased. After having the most basic cell phones, usually the free one that came with the contract, I was really pleased with the Blackberry Pearl. It is easy to navigate, and the features are nice. I especially enjoy Blackberry Messaging (BBM), as many of my friends have Blackberrys as well. This saves money, because I do not need to send out nearly as many text messages. I also like the camera and GPS features.
