Great phone overall, but software can be a little sluggish.

Excerpt: Overall, I love this phone. It is small and compact, but still packs in many features. It runs many of the same apps as full size blackberrys yet is nearly half the size. Also, it still has a smaller QWERTY style keyboard that I find particularly easy to use when texting. The camera on the phone is also suprisingly nice. The only two drawbacks to the phone are the trackball or pearl and the software. The software can take a while to boot and run some apps.
Excerpt: The blackberry pearl is pretty cool. I love having my e-mail with me everywhere I go. I can also send and receive Facebook messages instantly. Blackberrys also have a cool chat feature, but you can only chat with people who also have blackberrys. The internet connection is slow, so I rarely use it, and you can't view videos on the phone or listen to streaming sound. I've had it for about a year and it's served me well. BUT - I wish I had gotten an iPhone.
Excerpt: The Blackberry Pearl offers most of the things that the larger version offers but is significantly smaller and way more stylish looking. It fits easily in your pocket without the bulk or in a standard case. The only problem I have with the Pearl is that it will dial random numbers if not locked. You could just be walking and have it in the case and it will dial the last person you called and they will hear you talking or walking or whatever.
My Blackberry Pearl 8100 has been a great phone for me.

Excerpt: My blackberry pearl 8100 has been a great phone. I use it on a daily basis. It gets amazing service, and the scroll ball really helps to navigate everything quickly. I am not very cell phone smart, but the Blackberry Pearl 8100 is so easy to use. Everything is right at your fingertips. I would tell anyone they should get a Blackberry Pearl 8100.
Excerpt: I have had my blackberry pearl for 9 months. I got a refurbished phone and so far have had no problems with it. I use it for calls, texting and as a PDA. I have not used the email service because I do not want to pay the extra charges on my cell phone bill each month. I do use the calendar on my phone, and I do sync it with my computer. Some options on the phone were complicated to find when I first got it.
Excerpt: I loved my Blackberry Pearl, until it malfunctioned. Don't get me wrong...I'm planning on replacing it with a newer Blackberry. But I had a horrible time updating the software on it, and when I did, it decided that it couldn't send or receive MMS anymore! Aside from that and the silver ring around the pearl breaking, it's been a great phone.
The Blackberry Pearl 8100 keeps me organized and is so cute!

Excerpt: I purchased the Blackberry Pearl 8100 in the white color about a year ago through Cellularone which is now AT & T. I LOVE IT! The look of the phone itself is so young and high tech. I love the way it can be personalized through downloadable profiles, and I even changed the pearl color! The phone itself is easy to navigate through and the possibilities are endless in the sense of applications to download and ways to upgrade the phone.
Excerpt: I purchased the Blackberry Pearl 8100 about one year ago, and love it. The battery life has been incredible, and once I got the hang of the keypad, texting was simple. Through Sprint, there are plans as low as $70.00 that include enough minutes, nights and weekends beginning at 7pm, unlimited text, internet, GPS navigation, and more. This phone keeps me organized, and is a perfect size to bring everywhere.
Excerpt: The phone is cool, great features, and Sprint's plan is inexpensive, providing full access to internet, email, GPS, unlimited texting and more. The pearl does, however, make random calls from your pocket.
Excerpt: Purchased a BlackBerry Pearl after my previous phone broke. I was happy with it for a while, but after about a year it just sort of stopped working. My husband has the same model and his also seems to have a few problems. For instance, when someone calls him and he answers the phone there is a few seconds of dead air before it actually connects to the call.
