Excerpt: When it comes to cell phones, I have had my share of disappointments, most notably the Verizon Wireless Razor phone. However, I was overjoyed when my mother brought me a Verizon Wireless RIM Blackberry Curve 8530 for my birthday (which retails for $99 with a 2 year service …
Excerpt: I absolutely love this phone! It’s so in! The last Blackberry I’ve owned was the Bold, but I sold that one a long time ago! I’ve went back to the Curve, but now I have a prepaid plan! Currently with Virgin Mobile.
Excerpt: The Blackberry Curve 8530 is an entry level smartphone that gets the job done well. I have used the phone for approximately eight months now and I am fully aware of its capabilities. First, lets discuss the software.
Summary: Love love love this phone! The color is bold, it's a smaller phone but for someone that has small hands, like I do, it's perfect. It's really durable too, it flew off the roof of my car at 45mph, I'm forgetful, and it only had a few scratches. Since it's an older phone, you can also get cases for it for really cheap.
Summary: I bought this Blackberry as a replacement phone for my wife. She destroyed her old phone on accident and without insurance I found this gem. It's sturdy and built like a brick, she loves it and It's toddler proof. Literally. Without a touch screen kids today are baffled how to use this Blackberry Curve.
Summary: Before getting my smart phone I owned this exact blackberry. I had no problems with it. It kept its charge pretty good (my wife’s phone did not—she had the same phone but a different color), the internet worked okay, and I took advantage of my unlimited calls and text messages. The phone’s keyboard was a little difficult to finagle (my fingers are too big) and compared to a touch screen seems primitive, but overall it got the job done.
Summary: I purchased this phone a while back and I sent it right back. The blackberry system is super slow and the phone kept freezing, also at times kept turning off for no reason. I didn't like the blackberry world app cause it is very limited in apps, which I didn't like even though blackberry phones are only used for emails and text, but that didn't live up to its hype. The screen is too small which made seeing the text message kind of difficult.
Summary: the good -easy to use -Durable -battery lasts a while -comfortable in your hands The bad -video playback is terrible -only available on 60$ plan -out dated -blackberry logo on the back falls apart over time
