The BlackBerry Curve 8530 is a slim smart-phone or PDA developed by Research in Motion (RIM) that comes with a 2.4-inch TFT transflective touch screen that provides 65,000 colours with 320-by-240 pixel resolutions, a built-in 2.0-megapixel camera with 5x digital zoom, video recording and playback functions, e-mail, messaging and variety multimedia features. This phone is compatible with high-speed 3G technology which is compatible with Verizon Wireless' 3G network that enable users to access the web using broadband services, works on CDMA network band 800/1900MHz, support Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP wireless technology without the hassle of using wired cables, comes with a 528MHz processor along with 256MB of flash memory, plus it also support microSD/SDHC/TransFlash card. It is designed with a full-QWERTY keyboard for easy typing and sending of messages along with a touch-sensitive optical trackpad. The smart-phone is available in black, purple or red colour enclosure. Together with 3G high-speed capabilities, this mobile phone can be used for quick transfer of data, audio and video streaming, Web surfing, multimedia messaging and email. The device supports file format such as MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV3, plus it also features polyphonic and MP3 ring tones. It is powered by BlackBerry OS 5.0 for its operating system together with 528 MHz processor, plus it is also preloaded with BlackBerry Media Sync, BlackBerry App World for easy searching of the internet and downloading; and supports Java applications.
