Excerpt: You would feel better holding a pile of crap to your ear and calling it a phone. The camera flash is not necessary because the camera quality is so poor you wont even use it. The Internet is so slow it doesn't even have 3G. The operating system alright but gets irritating after a while. The phone cover automatically disassembles after a while of use.
Pros: BBM, BIS
Cons: No 3G, Extremely bad OS, Useless Camera, Feels like a pile of scrap plastic, Ugly, Slow charging, No camera flash
great features if only my internet would work and it didn't die

Excerpt: I was so excited to get this phone because people that i know loved it! however, i've had nothing but problems. My biggest issue is that most of the time my internet doesn't work (this may be Sprints problem, not the phones.) My other issue is that the battery dies every single day even if i don't have the WI-FI on. Even if i barely use it, it will die by 8 pm. THere have been other technical problems that i have encounterd.
Excerpt: About a year ago I purchased two blackberry curve 8520's. After having it a year i am very unhappy with most of its functions. I have numerouis technical issues and now even more so since i did the update. I drop at least 5 calls a day. My phone freezes up. My screen blacks out. And not to mention the battery does not lasy long at all. I spent alot of money on what I though and read was to be a good phone however, I wish I did not buy the phone at this point.
Excerpt: I have been an owner of Blackberry devices for several years, loving the easy to navigate system and the ability to download applications that I need to achieve optimal use of my device while on the go. When I purchased the Blackberry Curve 8520, I was immediately disappointed over the lack of flash for the camera. I also noted that the images were blurry when uploaded via email to social networking sites.
Would be a great phone if it would stop over-heating

Excerpt: This is my 2nd blackberry and 2nd version of the Blackberry Curve. I had the "older" model Curve which actually had a camera flash on it (this newer one, does not). I liked the old version better. From the sense of this smartphone being a blackberry and having all of the regular blackberry features, it's great.
Don't waste your money on the Blackberry Curve 8520

Excerpt: Last year, I switched cell phone carriers. I end up going with T-mobile, to take advantage of a promotion they have going on. Included in that promotion, was the Blackberry Curve 8520, for $29.99 (with a 2 year contract). Oh how I regret it! This phone is a complete piece of junk! A few months in, my phone started locking up. I have to remove the battery in order to reboot. There's no other option as it doesn't recognize commands when frozen.
Summary: Newegg, however, was very courteous and understood the situation and gave me a refund, which which is why i gave the rating 2 eggs instead of one. Situation is not all newegg's fault, I blame their third party supplier.
Pros: It arrived fast.
Cons: Not what I expected. Phone arrived in a box that was not that of what the picture displayed. Opened the box and found that the phone was manufactured by some 3rd world country company and did not have the T-mobile logo on it
Summary: I've bought this item and I received it in this conditions: the phone has the AT&T logo, the box isn't a genuine BlackBerry box (just oem), and the wall charger is not for my phone!! Could you believe that? You buy some phone and the charger doesn't work with it!! I am worried about this situation and I won't buy any other BlackBerry through Amazon.com. They do need to review their MarketPlace BlackBerry sellers.
