Just what I needed!
5 December 2013
Summary: I recently misplaced my old contract phone and needed a replacement. As someone who isn't in to being glued to my mobile, I wanted something fairly simple, with useful tools but most of all was actually a phone. After reading a lot of reviews of different phones in this price bracket, this one came out tops, and I can see why. It's so easy to set up and within minutes I had figured out how to use it.
Summary: After several emails back and forth to find the phone in the workshop and twice the payment of the repair work the phone did never show up. The company is hardly responsive and does not care about after sales. Finally, after 4 months of hassle I had to buy a new blackberry.
Conclusion: phone is a variant to its previous model, as it supports 3g connection. Several other improvements have been made with the os and thus, it doesn't freeze much. The phone's battery lasts longer than its previous models and the sound quality has also improved. Nonetheless, the phone is also good for listening to music, in spite of the tough user interface. A marked improvement and a well worthy price, you can go for this one.
Conclusion: I thought blackberry phones were supposed to be more of an all rounder. Only issue i have been having with this mobile is its bad sound quality. Besides this the loudspeaker is also not able to produce a high voulme. It's 2.46 inch is very small. I didn't like it anyways..
Summary: You either love it or you hate it. We bought two of these for our Niece and our Granddaughter, both of whom would consider nothing else, probably as they send text messages all day. If that's what you like to do, then this is now a good value phone. I suspect it is more for young folk though, as when it comes to internet use it is rather clumsy. One thing I did like was that each one came with two chargers, one with a UK 13A plug and one with a 'Euro' plug.
Summary: I already have the 9300 through work and wanted one for my personal use. Kontra advertised this as sim-free and unlocked. What arrived was the 9300 with 'Orange' stamped clearly at the bottom front. The instructions were mainly in French and half of the information was 'Orange' related. No response from seller as yet - just received today. Only good if you want an 'Orange' phone. Will wait for seller reply.
Excerpt: The Blackberry 9300 Curve is a professional looking mobile phone, with chrome effect casing. It is highly durable, robust and lightweight. Using a QWERTY keypad, it is easy to write emails, texts and of course Facebook posts. I had this phone last year, its not particularly impressive. Once again it was a contract phone from my service provider.
Pros: Professional looking
Cons: Frequent issues with the trackpad, complicated for first time users and poor battery life .
