RIM is not typically known for revolutionary new phones that are entirely different than previous models. The BlackBerry Bold 9700 certainly stays consistent as it is represents an evolutionary step forward from the Bold and other previous BlackBerries. While it’s apparent that RIM has put a lot of work into perfecting the Bold, is it perfect for converting iPhone and Windows Mobile users into devotees? Read more

We tested the quad-band (GSM 850/900/1800/1900) RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 in New York using T-Mobile service and call quality was good. On our end, the audio was clear with very little background noise so we had no problem hearing our callers or using an airline's voice automated response system. Friends also reported good things about the Bold's sound quality. They didn't complain of any voice distortion or weird noises. In addition, they were impressed by the clarity of... Read more

Won't write about legendary BB hardware and OS (now its better with OS 5) Jog dial then Track ball and now Track pad. Tho' trackpad was there in Samsung SGH i780 but BB track pad is a class apart. Absolutely flawless communication - Voice and Data both. BB should start providing a screen protector with the phone to protect that beautiful screen! Once a Bold user always a Bold user.... Bold, Bold2..... Read more

I have owned a Blackberry for the last 4.5 years. The 9700 has a nice screen and I love that RIM finally made a phone that you can customize individual text tones! Battery life seems good and signal is great even in EDGE areas. Sound quality is great and you can make the ringtones horribly loud which is awesome. The trackpad is amazing. much better than the trackball. Read more

This is my first Blackberry smart device, and I have to say that I'm not disappointed at all. Does all that is advertised plus more, I think once all little tips and tricks are learned things will move even faster. Just amazing the things I can do now that wasn't even thought of with my Motorola Razr v3xx. And to boot, Letstalk.com had the best deal going price wise, very helpful, and just great to deal with. Letstalk.com will have all of my business from now on, plus I... Read more

I like to think of myself as tech savy, but for the longest time, my cell phone has only been able to make telephone calls, take photos, and play a few games. Net surfing was limited to T-Zones to download overpriced ring tunes.  After 2 1/2 years, ... Read more
