Summary: The phone was not CDMA unlocked and no one mentioned this. I just needed the phone while travelling the States, so I wanted a cheap phone that i could buy a 20$ sim card for. Instead, the phone was locked on Sprint so i had to pay 45$ for a plan and 36$ for the activation...Also the charger did not work properly, it was plugged in for an hour, it appeared as charging but i still had my radio use cut off, but when i switched to another charger, it worked after a few...
Summary: Okay I spent my well-earned gift card my boss blessed me with on this phone...I am disappointed because I purchased this item and just received the blackberry. Apparently this blackberry was not the Blackberry I was expecting as I thought I purchased one with "3MP Camera" and...the one I got does NOT have a CAMERA! I am not a happy person right now,I email OEM shop hoping this was an error..
Excerpt: Pros: A lot of good things about the phone. I like the way it is laid out and how it handles folders. Sound is good. Upgraded from a Curve. Cons: Have had battery life issues. Sometimes less than half a day on battery and I am not a hard user at all. Real problem is with reception. I do live in a fringe area but experienced an unusually high number of dropped calls. Would be talking just fine and, all of a sudden, poof! Also had lockup problems.
Excerpt: I am soo disappointed in this phone. I expected excellent call quality and a very fast business device. I did not get either. Pros Nice looking device Good Key Board More Memory Cons The call quality is TERRIBLE. I sound muffled to the people I call, like I have my hand over the mic. RIDICULOUS the LED light goes off for no reason...no other indicator. So I get blinking red LEDs with no calls, no email, no SMS, no tasks due...help me here.
Excerpt: This is not a great phone. I am going to review this by comparing it to my 9700 on T-Mobile. I have had both phones. The only things that are Bold about the 9650 is the 512MB memory and the Network(Verizon)although T-Mobile is getting better. Other than that, the 9700 beats it in every respect. The Back cover is superior. The 9700 has the best back cover on a Blackberry today. The 9650's cover is the same as the horrible Tour battery cover.
