Summary: Find nothing good about this phone; could not activate it for starters. It feels like a piece of plastic toy! No help from the seller; and I should have known better; with it costing so little. Total plastic garbage that could not be activated.
Summary: The BlackBerry arrived today - Oct. 21 - It is actually in MINT condition! It took about 10 minutes for it to "find" its battery and begin to charge, but once it did - it was ready to take to Verizon and get set up. Very Happy with the purchase. Will probably get another one.
Excerpt: I thought it was the phone. But then i got a new model of this and still no one seems to be able to hear me on this phone. I don't understand it. Maybe everyone else is wearing headsets. The guy behind me at Verizon said his sound reception was horrible too and he uses it as a paperweight. I get so many dropped calls and people telling me that they can't hear me that I hardly use this. The email also stopped because I am told I went over quota.
Excerpt: I am very surprised that no one else has identified frequent crashing or that Verizon has removed many of the features built into the device. I can only imagine that most people assumed that eventually they'll be able to figure out how to use the features in the manual built into the phone -- even though the features no longer exist. I was getting Assert errors about 10 times per day, so I replaced the phone. The new one had the same problems, so I returned it.
Excerpt: I would like to report a huge problem with this phone to the group. Have other people noticed the problems with battery life. I finally got to a 3rd level Verizonwireless person and the issue is a bug in the firmware for authentication to the broadband networks. Here is what happens. If you are in an area that has limited or EVDO or you loose EVDO when going into a building or underground your Battery is about to be discharged.
