Summary: Stylish it ain't - it's fat, slow, and quite chunky. But I still love it because it is perfect for my daily commute - the Archos 48 with its massive storage, combined with my bluetooth noise canceling headphones, is the perfect combination for playing back my music and videos travelling to and from work on the train. The archos fits snugly in the breast pocket of my jacket, so as well media playback I get the warmth and vibration of the hard disk drive too.
Summary: Bought this item in January 2012, with the plug in tv docking station. First few months, everything was fine, then screen started freezing, not a big problem, problem resolved by turning off and on again. The main problem is the utterly pathetic battery life of this unit. Now I cant even take this unit from my home as the battery lasts 15 minutes tops for video and about an hour for music.
Summary: I bought this item for my husband for Christmas and I can honestly say it is one of the best gifts I have ever bought him. it is sleek, fast and with 500 GB can hold picture, films and music plus the internet and yet it is small and compact. I would recommend this item to any gadget lover, it is first class technology!
Summary: Supplier tried to get me to change my review because they didn't like it and felt that they were deserved a good rating after I fixed the problem. They deliver a product that immediately starts an update when you turn it on (why they couldn't have done this I don't know). This update causes a blue screen failure which can only be fixed if 1. You know what your doing, know Android and Archos 2. Know your way round the net 3.
Terrible product - waste of time and money down the drain - don't take an Archos even if given for free

Summary: Bought this to record video of endoscopy for teaching and spent a lot of money on accessories like the DVR station, Battery dock, cables etc. The tablet crashes whenever I try to connect it to Olympus Endoscopy stack. The documentation is useless and there seems to be no solution. Very expensive paperweight!
Summary: I bought this a short while ago but returned after one weekend - why: - needed to do a hard reboot (paper clip in hole) just to get it to start up and several times afterwards - drivers needed upgrading immediately yet you can't do this when connected to a computer despite what it says in the help guide - you only seem to be able to do it via wi-fi which took an age to configure successfully - can only charge via computer/USB - tried a USB mains charger but didn't work -...
