Ok if you like that kinda thing

Luis R., Newegg
18 November 2014
  • Summary: For the price of 108 dollars you could buy two Chicom tablets that will out preform this mini "tablet" any day. Lucky for me I purchased mine for half this price to use as an mp3 player so I wasn't out too much cash.
  • Pros: Small... That's about it.
  • Cons: 1) The touch screen sucks (use of a stylus helps) 2) No google app store just a weak ARCHOS version(Side load another app store to fix that) 3) Battery life is bad 4) No memory expansion 5)Price (NOT WORTH $100)

  • Summary: Touch panel condition is not so good and very insensitive to touch. After a year of usage of the tablet, touch panel came to mulfunction. I think touch panel is the weak point of this tablet.

  • Summary: this is an alright mp3 player but it has such a low ram that you cant play angry birds on it and the web browser is slow and glitchy but if you want an mp3 that can also play pandora its good for that and only that

Way too much effort to get to work

Tom the Bomb, Amazon

  • Summary: I have owned the 101 Tablet and it was much more ready for everything I wanted to use this item for. The touchpad is non-responsive and I would have had to convert my entire collection of video to a smaller size to stream. I bought it for the kids and it just didn't work out well...

Nice idea, but not quite ready for prime time

Paul E. Harrison, Amazon
19 November 2011
  • Summary: The Archos 28 is a dirt cheap Android-based PDA. To a certain extent, because of the price, I'm loath to criticize it, it's certainly value for money. But at the same time, to get to the Archos 28's price, Archos had to cut some fairly major corners, and it's questionable how much more useful the...

Don't waste your money

Mark Canvas "movie buff", Amazon
29 July 2011
  • Summary: I desperately wanted to like the Archos 28 as I I purchased it in hopes of it being a slightly inferior version of an iPod Touch (for half the price). Instead, it's vastly inferior, so much so that it'll likely go in a drawer to never see the light of day again after just one hour of use.

Good

Sj, Phone Arena

  • Excerpt: I is okay but it need more work by Archos like faster processor, more ram, and better screen. Screen can't be read in direct sunlight. Limited Selection of apps in the appslib. Archos rarely updates it so you don't have very many new things on the Archos 28.
  • Pros: Android, Flash !0.3
  • Cons: SLOW, BATTERY, WIFI ANTENNA LOCATION, Appslib doesn't not very many apps, Can't BE ROOTED

Archos 2.8 Internet Tablet

skwitz, Amazon
9 April 2011
  • Summary: pros: It is small, and cheap. cons: even though it supports almost all vid formats, it should warn you in the specs that if the resolution is higher than 320x240 then playing it will either crash the system or slow it down a lot.

It's ok

Anika, Amazon
30 March 2011
  • Summary: This mp3 player is ok. But internet is very slowly. But for music or video is ok. I don't like touchscreen, because you can touch it with everything (not just with finger) and it can be trickey, if you have it in the pocket...
