Summary: We got one of these for my son; within a few weeks the internal screen (not the outer glass but the screen underneath) broke, which was a disappointment. We returned it to Archos and they replaced it, which was great. Then the screen on the new one broke, and this time they wouldn't replace it. I liked this MP3 player, the screen resolution was good, the feel was good and so on, I would love to recommend it but unfortunately it's simply not durable.
Summary: After the SanDisk disaster-this was a nice unit. Relatively cheap when you throw in free eMusic trial. Initially after connected to USB to charge the unit would not come on-directions are minimal. After disconnecting it from computer it worked fine for awhile. It would sync with Windows Media Player. You can add and delete songs as if it were an external drive. It has video and other things but when I converted personal video file to .avi it would not play.
Summary: Buying this product, I thought it was operational by touching the screen too since in the manual it was mentioned but it's not. And I've been looking for how to change the mode playing but can't. I thought this product was better than the way it is, but it's not. Even I reset it many times nothing really changed when I did.
Summary: I honestly loved this mp3 player. This is a simple mp3 player that anyone could use. Navigation is very easy and you can find anything your looking for without a bunch of searching. Sound is good and the video I watched on it wasnt bad at all. Some people have said it doesnt have an EQ. It does have presets or you can customize it yourself to your liking. You have to go to the music screen and hold one of the buttons and the EQ screen will pop up.
Summary: The player that I received today has both shuffle and an equalizer. The lack of those 2 features were listed as "cons" in a previous review. For $29.99 this looks like a great deal. No problems loading or playing music so far. Haven't tried loading any video yet. I'll update in a couple of weeks. 7/10- First try at downloading and playing video was unsuccessful. Tried to load an mpeg video but got the error message when I tried to view it on the player.
Summary: I really like this little device considering the price of it. It was not very expensive but since I am a new user of this type of media, I chose one that had simple to use functions. I am amazed at the quality of the audio. I really am enjoying it. Due to health reasons I do not always sleep well and I grab my little "Archos" and relax awhile and do not wake anyone up!
Summary: Very good audio quality, FM is good as well. The directions or owner manual leave a lot to be desired. Video is a BIG chore, this is where they need more improved instructions. I like this player and eventually will get to load video on it.
Summary: This is a good product. As soon as you plug it into the USB port (which is how you charge the battery too), there is a pop up menu asking what you want to do. I filled it up with my favorite songs in a few minutes using the windows media player. The radio part gets good reception (even in a factory). I took it on vacation and it was perfect on the plane, it fit in my pocket and kept me entertained during the whole flight.

Summary: My 11th correspondance from customer support, asking the same question every time on how to put movies on the device, they said "Most if not all companies that sell digital video files use some form of DRM protection (typically WMV-DRM). Amazon, Zune, iTunes, etc. all use DRM to prevent piracy.
