This is just a collector phone and not antique phone.

Summary: The original 1st generation iPhone 1 is just like other normal cellphones, no frequent updates, several app can't download because due to compatibility on the ios update number. Other than receiving calls, updates, mails, jailbreak it fast, use the internet, and playing music. It is just a collector phone nowadays.
Summary: Its an out of date phone I wouldn't buy it unless you only wanted it for texting and calls. Can't send pics or really get online with it. But if you only plan on using it for that then its a pretty good phone.
Excerpt: The iPhone is a very unique looking phone but the quality is not that great. I have had three different iPhones because I keep having problems with them. All three of the phones seem to have the same problem, when I turn the phone sideways the screen gets frozen and does not switch to the different view mode like it should.
Love Iphones but not a big fan of the 1st generation!

Excerpt: I recieved the Iphone 1st generation as a gift because I broke my other Iphone. It is just like my other one, but there are a few flaws. I think that it goes slower then the newer iphones. Sure, that's a con but it's not the major one. The major one is I cant send/recieve pic messages. I only have to pay 50 dollars a month for a plan but it reallys is a bummer it doesnt do pic messages.
Excerpt: The iPhone 2g, is the phone that started the iPhone craziness. It was accepted by the mass to be quite innovative in its time. It boasts a snappy and quite responsive capacitive screen. The interface is so simple, easy and intuitive to use that any one from a small kid to an elderly person can figure it out given the time. One of the main attactions of the iPhone is the more than 200,000 apps available on its App Store.
Excerpt: At first it looked as a technological breakthrough. However, after continued use, it became clear that it also contained many flaws to contrast with such a wonderful and sleek design. I will never get tired of scrolling and texting was a breeze, but you couldn't possibly text or surf the web for long. Its continueus need for an electrical charge render it useless if you happen to misplace or break your charger.
Excerpt: I use to own Apple iPhone 2g 8gb. Even though the value is degrading these days for Apple iPhone 2g i think this is better phone than the other smartphones. After all it is an Apple iPhone. When i used it the battery life was good, never had any trouble with battery life, size was perfect. It does everything what an apple iPhone 4 does these days except for some new apps. It is a touch screen phone so it is great for playing games.
Excerpt: I got a 1st generation iPhone second hand after the 3GS iPhone was released. The 1st generation is noticeably slower than the 3GS and iPhone 4. The 1st generation unit includes a camera and GPS, which can be handy with some good apps loaded. The camera is much lower resolution than the current model and opening the camera app and waiting for the camera to initialize is annoyingly slower than on the current model.
Summary: Ok so I had my iPhone for about a year and absolutely loved it. The Apps were so cool and convienient and it was just so high-tech. I really did love it alot - but the only downfall (which was a big one in my case) was the monthly cell bills. I'm a full-time college student and my parents make me pay for alot on my own, starting with my cell phone.
