Excerpt: Apple iPhone 4S is a touchscreen slate smartphone that offers faster processor, upgraded camera, all the advantages of iOS 5, immensely fun and useful voice assistant, excellent call quality, eight-megapixel sensor and 64GB of storage space. It is quite responsive and quick, which makes all the difference, while you launch applications, play games and browse the web.
Summary: Yes, it's a dead ringer for the iPhone 4, but the iPhone 4S serves as a reminder that true innovation is never skin deep. With Siri, Apple has managed to make voice control not only natural but cool. The sharper and brighter camera, smooth 1080p camcorder, and zippier dual-core processor all solidify the iPhone 4S as the best phone on AT&T.
Pros: Dual-core powerhouse, Siri is a game-changer, Fast bright and sharp camera, iOS 5 and iCloud built in, Relatively long battery life
Cons: Lacks 4G data speeds, No Facebook integration, Photo Stream only works over Wi-Fi
Conclusion: If you currently own an iPhone 4, the only reason to upgrade is Siri, which works only with iPhone 4S' more powerful processor and speedier Internet connection. For everyone else, the 4S may not match-up spec-wise with other new Android models, but in the short time I've used it alongside a Samsung Galaxy S II, it performs nearly every task, connected or not, faster and more powerfully in nearly all respects.
iPhone 4S vs Samsung Galaxy S2 – I think Apple needs an iPhone 5 ASAP
15 October 2011
Conclusion: If you’re willing to accept a different OS, the Galaxy S2 can be a much better phone for the money – I know I work so much better on a 4 inch display than on a 3.5 inch – I don’t know why, it’s probably my minimum size, so switching from the iPhone 3G to a Droid and later G2X was the best thing I’ve ever done.
