Day 2 with the iPhone 4S and iOS5

mobility.com.ng
26 October 2011
  • Excerpt: Today I woke up at 6 am. Siri woke me up actually because I was playing around yesterday and said ‘wake me up at 6 am everyday’. First thing I did tonight was disable all my morning alarms! I also decided to try out the Etisalat Easyblaze network on my iPhone 4S today. That turned out to be a great idea. The 3.75G network made Siri reply to my comments almost instantaneously. I also noticed that Siri even connects on EDGE networks.

The iPhone 4S: My first impressions

mobility.com.ng
25 October 2011
  • Excerpt: I will put a disclaimer here… This might be a little biased. That’s because I’m absolutely, hopelessly in love with my iPhone 4S! I’ll just go into my first impressions of the key features. In the meantime, I am still exploring other features on the device. Despite the fact that Apple didn’t redesign the iPhone, it still stands out as a work of art. I’m a bit glad that it wasn’t redesigned, because it keeps those prying eyes off me, if you know what I mean.

Apple iPhone 4S review

MobileBurn
25 October 2011
  • Summary: It has been 15 months since Apple released the iPhone 4. This has left many iPhone, and would-be iPhone customers, anxious for what the company planned to bring next. The iPhone 4S is it. Same body, same screen, same construction, same look as the 15 month old iPhone 4. To say that some people were disappointed with the iPhone 4S would be an understatement.
  • Pros: Excellent hardware construction, easy interface, excellent camera, speed to spare
  • Cons: Smallish screen, no 4G, no user replaceable battery

Apple iPhone 4S (Sprint)

LAPTOP Magazine
24 October 2011
  • Summary: It looks like last year's iPhone, but the $199 iPhone 4S offers more than enough features and power to justify the cost. Thanks to Siri, Apple has made voice recognition not only useful but hip. The handset's sharper camera, smooth 1080p camcorder, and peppy dual-core processor solidify the iPhone 4S as one of Sprint's best phones. The new iOS 5 and iCloud features also are a strong draw, and could even steal Android owners away from aging handsets.
  • Pros: Dual-core power, Groundbreaking Siri voice control, Fast sharp camera, iOS 5 and iCloud built in, Unlimited data on Sprint
  • Cons: Sluggish 3G speeds, No Facebook integration

Apple iPhone 4S Review

Phone Arena
21 October 2011
  • Conclusion: After all the wait, we’re still scratching our heads in confusion as to why it took this long to release this incremental model. Obviously, we wouldn’t be all that concerned if it were released during its usual summer time frame – much like all of its ancestors before it. But considering that the threshold has been established by the competition, namely by the trove of Android smartphones like the Motorola DROID BIONIC , HTC EVO 3D , and Samsung Galaxy S II , there’s...
  • Pros: Innovative Siri personal assistant, Fast dual-core processor, Shoots amazing photos and videos, World Phone capabilities
  • Cons: Battery performance is unchanged, No 4G connectivity

Apple iPhone 4S Review: The Best Gets Better

Brighthand
21 October 2011
  • Summary: To sum it all up, the Apple iPhone 4S is one of the best phones out in the market today, with a massive variety of apps and third-party developer support, a familiar industrial design that still works, and improved hardware to a year-old phone that was already great. Now the big debate is if it is worth upgrading to if you are a current iPhone 4 owner.
  • Pros: Faster Processor, Better Camera, Siri Voice Control, 500,000+ Apps Available, It's more or less a speed-bumped iPhone 4, 64GB Storage Space Now Available
  • Cons: No LTE/4G Support, iOS still lacks widgets and customization, It's more or less a speed-bumped iPhone 4

iPhone 4S Review

ubergizmo.com
21 October 2011
  • Summary: To make a long story short, the iPhone 4S is about the camera, the processor speed and Siri. You can get all the other software features on an iPhone 4. The extra speed is pretty awesome when it comes to gaming but for more ordinary tasks, it is not as perceptible as the benchmark numbers would lead you to believe.
