Summary: "i gave away my original 3G because it was a cool multimedia device but a lousy phone. I finally got a new 3GS the other day and put my bold 9700 to rest while I tested the "improved" 3GS. Call quality (tinny sound, echo, dropped signals) is on par with 3G (poor), versus excellent with Bold (same network of course). Too bad Apple has not gotten serious about the phone part of the device. I have an accord 09 ex -Nav-BT and it took a couple of tries to get the pairing done.
The Apple iPhone 3G (16 GB) Smartphone is an over priced garbage
9 September 2012
Excerpt: The Apple iPhone 3G S Black (16 GB) Smartphone is an idiotic waste of money that honesty is nowhere near th worth Steve jobs seems to think it is. Its excessve amount of space is a largely unsensible. The phone in itself holds no true merit and nothing short of a overly priced excuse for what many refer as a modern advancement. There are so many more sensible items that can be purchased that do basically the same thing.
Excerpt: Usually people tend to brag about the apple iPhone, but I dont really see the point in bragging on something that is not really so great. I believe people just brag about them because they think they look nice and they're fun to have, usually though the people that belive this are the ones that haven't had theirs very long or just had a brief encounter with some elses. The truth is why pay so much money on a product that is going to break or mess up within a few months.
Excerpt: This product is only good if you are a customer of the AT&T network (which makes me wonder... why would you decide to be with them still?) Due to the lack of coverage around the country this phone is useless in most places around the US. You will drop in and out of calls and your pricey apps that you bought will be found useless.
Excerpt: I have been an apple Iphone user since they came out. I had always loved the iPhone. Truth be told however, they do everything great, but when it comes to using the actual phone for calls, plan on getting dropped, losing service or any other thing that could possibly happen while talking to someone on the other end of the line. My first one died, just plain died after one year. My phone was of course covered under warranty so I was issued a new one at no charge.
Excerpt: i hated that phone it never did what i told it to do it was slow responce time s**t net and would constantly crash out on me cuz i would load tooo many apps or videos on to the phone i thought i pods where suppose to be for media driven people.
Pros: Great for web, e-mail, but apps are restricted. My brother has an android and it can do so much more.
Cons: After 16 months this phone quit working. The home button has quit working. I've taken excellent care of this phone When I call the ATT and Iphone tech support they charge 30$ just to talk to me, then an additional 199$ to get the phone fixed.
Pros: Has potential if Apple decides to apply their developers' talents
Cons: 1. Can not synchronize local Outlook inbox. 2. Touchscreen keypad very difficult. 3. No help screens available. Requires online connection to download help as needed. 4. Bluetooth audio control is EXTREMELY limited. 5. Calendar functions limited
