Summary: The phone was a great price and even included head phones. Now for the bad part. I could not send a text message to a NON-T.Mobile phone! I could send a text just fine to another T-Mobile phone but when I tried to send a text to two friends, each with AT&T and to my wife who is with Verison, I got Invalid Recipient. Took the phone back to Walmart for a refund and got the Samsung T139 that was $5 more and did NOT come with head phones.
Summary: I had to purchase this cell phone via Site to Store because it was not available at any Walmart stores within 50 miles. It was not "Senior" friendly enough. I simply could not text/input calendar appointments due to its too sensitive keys. Walmart would be wise to offer a great "Senior" friendly cell phone through their Family Plan. Maybe the Alcatel "Big Easy" model. I think they're missing a valuable "Senior" market where larger & simplified is better.
Summary: I wanted a flip phone, and I wanted it to be simple. This fits the bill on both counts. In fact it a little nicer then I expected fro the money. I only use the phone to make and receive calls. I am fighting hard to maintain some human interaction in my communications.. The sound quality is good. the reception is a little bit lacking in comparison to other phones I have had. But it hasn't been a problem in the few weeks I have had it.
Summary: Very soft (making calls itself when it in pocket), hard to use (to send a message you need push to many buttons), poor volume, battery gone in less then one year. Worst phone i ever owned (equal price).
Summary: I'm very pleased with the 665 Alcatel phone. I installed my T-mobile SIM card and charged it up. All my contacts were in there and it was ready to go. The instructions are not too dificult to follow, the camera is simple to operate and it fits easily in a pocket with no worries about pressing keys by mistake. It's the nicest phone I've owned.
Summary: Ok, so I'm sure if you are buying this inexpensive of a phone then you already know that it is not for long term use. I bought this to test the tmobile network to see if I want to switch. This phone feels like cardboard, the camera is horrible, I took a picture and can't even tell what it is. The text is good, the clarity of voice is great.
