Not buying again

Mark R., Newegg
12 May 2013
  • Pros: Nice and light weight. Relatively comfortable and good battery life. Easy to pair with my Android phone. Music quality was not as good as I expected. On par with normal ear buds. Microphone was not great for phone calls but worked in a pinch. There are better BT headsets if phone calls is the onl...
  • Cons: Not a headset for use anywhere near moisture. Made the mistake of using them at the gym when using the stair climber. Perspiration cooked them. Wasn't that wet but wet enough I guess. I had read that they were good for use at the gym but I beg to differ.

Motorola ROKR S305

Roan M., Newegg
5 December 2012
  • Summary: Seriously, that microphone is a problem. These headphones are terrific for playback, but doing things while talking to people results in headaches on the other side. I am on my third pair of these.
  • Pros: For music, sound quality is great. Made some modifications to the EQ on my phone, after which the bass was much improved. Volume increases to a level much louder than I need, and generally all frequencies are captured well. Headphones are light, easy to carry around, don't take long to charge and...
  • Cons: During calls, I have had MANY complaints about the microphone. It is simply too sensitive, and picks up the sound of everything in the room around me. I cannot talk to anyone without hearing a complaint about the background noise unless I'm in a soundproof box. Don't sweat on them. I know that sh...

Nice but "rattle" issue

Todd O., Newegg
8 October 2012
  • Summary: For $29.99 shipped free they are well worth it!
  • Pros: They fit great and sound very, very good. I was tired of buying new "ear buds" every month or so as I run with my phone in my pocket and the wires would eventually break. Zero issue with the fit while running.
  • Cons: The buttons "rattle" when moving. Running I can hear the volume buttons rattle, now when the volume is loud you don't notice it but between songs or when the volume is low you can easily hear it. Sweating is going to be an issue too......

Works perfectly, not too confortable

Allen C., Newegg
25 September 2012
  • Summary: Good deal for the newegg price but other than that I would opt for a different set.
  • Pros: Blutooth is great, sound is nice.
  • Cons: Really uncomfortable for my ears, buttons are quircky and on/off hold procedure not quite consitient.

Would be awesome if I didn't live in NYC

Michael D., Newegg
28 August 2012
  • Summary: So, great for inside, great for car, bus, subway, plane. Probably great for walking outside in other localities. If, however, you want them for enjoying audio uninterrupted as you stroll the streets of an urban area (or at least NYC), you might want to think twice.
  • Pros: Coming back to finally review these after owning 2 pairs over ~2 years (I lost the 1st pair after 18 months, & liked them enough to replace them), I see more recent reviews suffering problems I didn't. * Battery life seems very robust to me * Sound quality seems very good (though I'm no audiophil...
  • Cons: Alas I must complain. Just walking the sidewalks of Manhattan, something (interference?) commonly interrupts my music. There's no static, the music just drops out for a second or 2 and then comes back. And crossing a street, any street (day or night), is guaranteed to cause my music to vanish unt...

probably okay, but charging light defective

Gary G., Newegg
22 August 2012
  • Summary: Ohters have also mentioned the charge light problem so my return could do the same thing...so it could be another $10.44 down the drain. If one unit has a defect, it's likely other do as well.
  • Pros: The bluetooth connection fairly solid, although some random drop outs. Sound quality is okay for a wireless connection. The controls are solid.
  • Cons: 1)The charge light never turnes green, so I don't know if the battery is 100% or not. The $10.44 return fee is too high, imo, so I'll keep this unit and hope it's just the liight which is defective 2) Sources with relatively high dymamic range, such as iTunes, don't play loud enough, probably to ...

Not too shabby

Andrew D., Newegg
13 August 2012
  • Pros: The fact that it is a bluetooth headset is a huge plus. Makes things like working out so much easier without the wires. The controls work great most of the time. The speakers have a decent enough sound to not ruin the music your listening too.
  • Cons: Have had a serious issue with battery life. Other user's have also reported the same issue and its understandable seeing the size of the earbuds. I have had another major issue where the red light on the power button will stay on for no reason. It seemed to of come on when I turned off bluetooth ...

Okay, but.....

Thomas S., Newegg
3 July 2012
  • Summary: I got them for almost 1/2 the price of my previous off brand through Newegg. They lasted much longer, had better battery life and were easier to use. They still work, but without even the meager cushion on the ear piece, they can't be worn.
  • Pros: For the price they worked great and sounded okay. I had an off brand type before (from a local store) that died as soon as the warranty did. But these have worked for a year and were easy to use. Battery life was great and I liked the recharging connection.
  • Cons: The thin sheet of foam over the ear pieces was okay wearing. But once slipped out, I can't replace them and can't wear them without the thin foam. Plus, I have a large head so the band around the back was not always great.

  • Pros: These headphones are comfortable and sound good.
  • Cons: The foam cover comes off easily. While it can be placed back into place, it falls out easier next time.
