Works just as described

Paul V., Newegg
20 April 2010
  • Pros: Item works just as described. The speaker is loud and clear. The buttons are well placed. **The biggest plus is the FM radio feature. Using the speakers in the car makes calls even better. I'm able to change channels to a specific frequency whenever another FM station gets in the way. Additionall...
  • Cons: Initial charge takes too long. The item only came with car charger. I used another charger that plugs into an A/C adapter to get the first charge done. After that the car charger worked fine.

HandsFree Cell Phonin

James N., Newegg
16 June 2009
  • Summary: Why take a chance at causing someone's death by not using this device or anything similar to this if you ever answer your cell phone while driving? It only takes a second to have an accident and an accident that takes a life last a lifetime. Do you want to take the risk?
  • Pros: 1. 70% savings on a FANTASTIC accessory for you cell phone 2. Clear audio with more than enough volume for the hard of hearing to hear it. 3. Will also play through the speakers in your automobile 4 Easy Set Up 5 Fast Charging Battery 6 Battery holds charge real well 7. Auto Shut Off 8 Easily att...
  • Cons: I can't say anything bad or against this device that makes driving and talking (at the same time) about as safe as it can possibly get. The only possible con that can have anything to do with this device is NOT HAVING ONE and NOT BUYING IT FOR YOUR LOVED ONES...

Bluetooth -> FM = Woot!

Adrian H., Newegg
5 June 2009
  • Summary: Many have complained of trouble with having to delete and re-add it in order to get A2DP to work. I think that has more to do with the phone than the BT receiver. I have the same problems with my HTC Touch Pro (Windows Mobile 6) and other A2DP receivers and it also happened on my WM5 phone as well.
  • Pros: I'm buying another for my wife (to keep the family peace after she saw this one. :) The Bluetooth -> FM transmitter is a fantastic feature. What's even better is that it stays on, even if there is nothing transmitting. I've had FM transmitters that shut off after a minute of silence. When they sh...
  • Cons: It did come as refurbished, where it did not state that in the Newegg ad. However, it came complete, looked fine and worked well. I wish it used a standard mini-usb jack. Yet _another_ USB cable I have to keep in my car. However, it works with my existing USB cigarette lighter charger bases and c...

Great Value, works well!

Joseph M., Newegg
14 May 2009
  • Summary: Great gift for a friend or loved one on the go. Can't beat the price!
  • Pros: Came with everything you need to use it and set it up. Car kit including a USB charger which means you could take it in and charge it on a computer or usb hub as well, I guess. Works great through the radio or as a stand alone speaker phone.
  • Cons: A little difficult to find a station that works well with it as it also tries to use HD stations or stations with even number decimals. My radio doesn't tune those in.

My Life has just got that much better !

Anonymous, Newegg
13 May 2009
  • Summary: I am curious whether others who may be driving next to me, whether they will be able to receive my FM signal since it transmits audio to your car radio and your work like that.
  • Pros: Now this is just what my doctor would have recommended if I had told him I was having problems hearing my cell phone while in my car. This has wonderful volume amplification and is easy to understand how to operate.
  • Cons: Ad does not mention that this is a refurbished product, but what the heck, it's more that a 50% savings and as long as it works, what can you really complain about. The users documentation is a bit on the small side and difficult to read. I had to go to the manufacturers web site and download a u...

User Review

Justin B., Newegg
11 May 2009
  • Pros: Great product overall. Easy pairing process worked great with my iPhone. The call volume is loud and easy to hear. Auto power-off ensures that you don't drain the battery after 10 minutes of non-use. The FM modulator feature worked surprisingly well. I just ordered a 2nd unit for my other car yes...
  • Cons: OEM/bulk package version of this product shipped with just a car adapter, no separate USB cable for in-house charging. The retail product ships with the USB cable and a cigarette light adapter for the cable to plug directly into providing in and out of car charging. Without the USB cable, you wil...

Refurbished Product

Gregg D., Newegg
7 May 2009
  • Summary: The ad should say somewhere that it is a refurbished unit, with a 90 day warranty. Make sure to read the directions because the language needs to be changed from UK English to US English.
  • Pros: Everything as it was advertised. Simple to pair with Motorola Hint. Good sound quality. Excellent price plus free shipping and a Newegg 30 day warranty.
  • Cons: None so far.

Great kit for a great price

Nick C., Newegg
26 April 2009
  • Summary: you can't beat it for $40. although it's an OEM and you only get the item in a bag with a small page of instructions, the item works like it's brand new and it doesn't take long to set up.
  • Pros: clear conversation for both you and person you are talking to. Very easy to set up and sync to your phone. the 1 button to turn speaker on/off and to enable voice command (if you're phone has it) makes the item easy to use w/o memorizing what buttons to press/look for while driving. comes with us...
  • Cons: I could not get the xm transmitter to work. also if someone is programmed into your phone the speakerphone does not say the name....it reads out the number instead (if you're like me and don't have every number in your phone memorized, you don't know who's calling unless you look at your phone)
