How does it work?!

Overstock
31 December 2009
  • Summary: Both my daughter and I tried to set this device up and we still have been unsuccessful. My 1st question was, "how do we know if its charging?" You cannot see the LCD lights. Hopefully I won't have to send it back.

Wasted my money

KRGRagley "Traveling Educator", Amazon
16 September 2009
  • Summary: The Jabra Speakerphone did not perform up to expectations. The volume could not be turned up loud enough to hear over road noise. The speaker also did not produce a clear sound. So combine those two problems and you cannot understand what is being said on the phone.

Review after over 1 year of usage

James Bond "007", Amazon
18 July 2009
  • Summary: I got this to comply with CA law. It worked ok, but I am on the market for something better. There are 2 main problems 1) In some cases where the road is noisy, I cannot hear the speakerphone even at full volumes. I drive a relatively quite 3-series BMW.

It's ok for the price

J. Watts "shaka-z", Amazon
24 September 2008
  • Summary: It works, and it's cheap. That's the good news... however the bad news is that the volume is pretty low when maxed (unless you sit right under your visor you'll be leaning forward to hear), there is no AC adapter, so charging can be a hassle unless you buy an additional AC to Cigarette Lighter...

Needs Improvement

Ed Hauschild, Amazon
15 September 2008
  • Summary: I'm disappointed with my unit for two primary reasons: (1) The indicator lights are not visible during the daytime. I can't tell whether the unit is on or off ... (2) Voice dialing; it doesn't understand me and I don't understand it. I'm going to have to look for something else.

Poor design

E. Gray "psychopuck", Amazon
1 August 2008
  • Summary: The leds are very dim, so it is hard to tell when you get a call. I have to keep my phone in my pocket to know when someone is calling. When you push to answer, there is little delay before you can start talking. I've gone back to using a Moto earbud.

Couldnt hear a thing

Sean A. Mentzer, Amazon
29 July 2008
  • Summary: I tried this item, and while people could hear me just fine, the speaker on it is so weak that I had to turn my car off just to hear the other party. going to try the motorola k505 since it can use the car speakers.

Not bad if you don't leave the city streets

nyassa, Amazon
24 July 2008
  • Summary: Living in California with the new handsfree law in effect as of 7/1 I had to get something I hated the idea of an earpiece so found this at a local store. It sounds fine, loud and clear on a city street. Get on the freeway and people can hear you but you can no longer hear them, very frustrating.

Not everything it's cracked up to be

Dancer "Dancer", Amazon
17 July 2008
  • Summary: Don't know if anyone else has this problem, but sometimes when I first turn it on, it takes two or three phone calls out for me to hear that the phone is ringing and if anyone answers it (my cellphone says "connected" but I hear nothing coming out of the speaker).
