Pros: Battery stays up on it's own, as long as it's parked in the sun. No problem hearing the other person, or them hearing you. Your able to disconnect it from the phone if other people are in the car with you.
Summary: Solar charging for a product like this is an excellent idea, if it works but, this product simply does not deliver. My unit started acting up shortly after its 1-year warranty expired (would get disconnected at random, LEDs started blinking, and other crazy beavior) and a couple months later it...
Pros: 1. Solar charging very convenient 2. Loud enough in my Honda Accord
Cons: One unit died just after warranty expired, second unit starting to fail, also shortly after 1 year
Pros: Solar recharging works well; nice not to have wires all over the car. Visor clip lets you place it closer to you for times when you need to have an extended call. Otherwise, the windshield-mounted holder works well and keeps it charged.
Cons: Sound quality is not great. Had 2 units and both died after about 18 months. Not inclined to buy again.
Pros: I have purchased 2 of these: one for my mother and one for my father-in-law. Neither of them have needed to charge it with the USB cable. My father-in-law sometimes spends most of his day driving and talking. Sound is clear and microphone works very well.
Cons: Wish it had an FM tuner to re-broadcast through the car speakers.
Summary: Overall, a good device and worth it if you need hands free and can get it for a good price.
Pros: Wireless, intuitive and easy to use. Solar charge and wire charge are great features. Visor clip is perfect. I like that it rings when the phone receives a call, much easier to hear than the phone in my purse. Compact size is also a bonus. Works well most of the time but occasionally will be stat...
Cons: The dashboard mount suction cup doesn't stick well. I tried to stick it on with water and it works for about day before it falls off again. Now to solar charge I simply flip the device backwards and drop the sun shade so the light hits it. Its a tight fit to wire charge it when its in the visor c...
Summary: 2 important items: First, different phone = different results. Got a new smartphone and couldn't control it via voice without looking at the phone screen. NOT IOGear's FAULT--I blame the phone. So I went back to a cheap phone. Second, (2013 summer has been very hot here so...
Pros: Simple. It worked great!!! Even better than expected since my cheap phone had build-in voice interface. Just push the big button and talk to the thing. After the initial charge, I stuck it to my windshield and never charged it again. Worked great in my noisy old Isuzu Rodeo. My Father-in-law like...
Cons: 1. Hard to believe so many have experienced a DOA. 2. Voice interface was the phone. 3. Internal Li-on battery swelled after 22-months. (But I'll repair and continue to use this thing) I would have preferred a commonly available replaceable battery.
Summary: It's been over a year since I first charged it by cord and I have yet to charge it since. Works fantastic and is a heck of a lot cheaper then getting a Bluetooth sync feature in most new cars. I recommend this to everyone I know who doesn't have Bluetooth integrated in their car.
Pros: -Never need to charge -Good voice clarity -Quick to sync to phone
Cons: -I have to turn off the radio myself when I get a call
Summary: I only have good & positive things to say about this; recommended it to friends who also got it and they enjoy their's as much as I do mine - in fact, one friend lost his to his wife and had to buy another !!!
Pros: One of the best, most useful items I have EVER gotten !!! Sound quality is perfect, stays charged, easy to use. This is a very smart & wonderful item - HIGHLY recommended.
Cons: (Just kidding here) It needs a neck lanyard so it can be used more easily while out walking ?!?
Summary: Up and died after a year and a half. I guess I got over a year - which is the warranty but still frustrating. Should last much longer with mild use
Pros: Easy to setup and Use. No batteries required
Cons: Lack of an interface of any kind makes configuration issues and problems difficult to investigate. When several people use the car you want the bluetooth to easy pick up the new user. Became confusing. I guess it has a multiuser mode which kills the multicall mode.
