Summary: We have several of these in use with our live sound reinforcement operation. They work well, and do exactly what they're supposed to do. This particular unit has an unbalanced output. There is another model that has a balanced output. We found that it was cheaper to purchase the unbalanced model and use external transformers to get a balanced line.
Summary: This is the single worse piece of electronic equipment I have ever purchased. The sound is "fuzzy" through my pre-amp and amp and, just to be sure, the same is true listening through head phones plugged directly into the unit itself. I should have returned it but, foolishly, I unpacked it and hooked it up expecting it to play without a problem, throwing out the packaging.
Summary: I purchased it for our classical ballet academy. The main qualities I was looking for were reliablility, remote control and variable speed (pitch) control. The dance teacher is pleased. I just wish the IR remote had a bigger range. It seems that RF remote units do not exist. The studio is quite large and the range is about 30 feet from the unit. The sound quality and pitch control are flawless.
Summary: I replaced an older Tascam CD player and all I can say is I like it! Sound is good and IMO a bit easer to make sure you cue up the right track with the direct access buttons.. Recommended product.
