Summary: I expected this Tascam CD player to be awesome , but it has proven to be the best CD player I have ever owned.Aside from being crystal clear it is loud which I can't understand why , but it is.I had a Sony CD player hooked up to the same power amp I am using now , but when I swapped it for this one not only was the sound so much better , but the volume increased significantly.I had to turn down the mixer by about 25%
Summary: This is a very traditional old school CD player. Aside from the gimmick of being able to vary the speed of the playback, this is as ordinary a CD player as you could imagine. It looks like it's built very robustly, which is why I bought it. It has a remote control, but nothing else at all that would qualify as a modern feature. (No bass boost, karaoke mic inputs, etc. Just playing ordinary CDs.) But it does know how to play MP3 CDs.
Excerpt: The product will be used in a church setting. We love the product because it is easy to use and is functional and has a very high quality output. The only drawback is it only has a single RCA output. Would like for there to be multiple outputs such as 1/4 in, XLR and or CA.
Pros: Attractive Design, Doesn't Skip, Durable, Easy Controls, Easy To Set Up, Great Sound
Excerpt: This is a nice basic CD player that has robust construction, great UI and a nice transport. In terms of the sound, it's very clear and transparent with excellent treble, but lacks bass extension and weight. Probably best used as a basic transport, bypassing the built-in analog output stage.
