I was able to grab the slide as it was coming out and hit the eject button again and it will work just fine that way

Summary: just got this today. I installed it into my rack and went to put in a cd. the door will come open just a little bit and it will go back in, (Unable to load a CD) it seems to be catching as it is ejecting. I was able to grab the slide as it was coming out and hit the eject button again and it will work just fine that way. It will not be used a lot, not sure if it is worth the hassle removing it from the rack and sending it back in to see if I get a better one in return.
Outstanding CD Player. Smooth Performance. Great Value for the Money !

Summary: I purchased this Stanton C.402 CD Player for my low power FM Radio Station. It delivers solid DJ style performance and features auto cue, seamless looping, jogwheel control,XLR and RCA outputs. It's pitch bend slider lets you speed up or slow down the music while its + 10 track/folder skip search clearly displays MP 3 text information. A nice player for broadcasting music, and that's why it's called The DJ's Workhorse.
Summary: This is a little expensive for a single-play CD/MP3 unit, but it is no-nonsense and rugged. The display and controls are excellent and a cut above a typical consumer unit. Allows precise cuing and looping. No complaints.
Summary: I bought this item at Kmart.com rather than Amazon, as it was cheaper at Kmart. But it is the exact same product. Have used it a few times and I must say that I am pleased with it. The sound reproduction is great and for the first time ever, I have a CD player that the motor spins at the right speed. I have had no problems with it playing too fast and if I did, it has various pitch control functions to choose from.
Summary: I purchased this from Amazon, installed it in the rack, and played about a dozen CD on it before it stopped reading the discs. Commercial discs, home-recorded discs, Music discs, data discs, mp3 discs. . . . you name it: it won't read it. The machine just takes up space in the rack now. Unless I'm missing something, there seems to be no way to contact Stanton, or to get any Customer Assistance, or Tech Support. Save your Money and Time.
