Summary: I purchased this to replace a similar Sony CD changer that worked for 18 years. This unit doesn't feel quite as well built as the previous unit. Also, it doesn't have a disc advance, so I have to manually rotate the carousel to load CDs. Also, it doesn't recognize CDs burned on Windows Media Player (the same CDs work just fine in my auto and in my portable player). That's a negative. Sound quality is OK because I feed the output to my stereo amplifier.
Summary: This unit is a basic CD changer from Sony. I connected it to a Sony reciever and Sony speakers. Song quality was what I expected, it's a solid Sony product. The options and connectivity was limited. If I had to go back I'd upgrade to the NEXT model above this one which seems to package more of Sonys options/connections/features than this one does.
Summary: My Sony CDP-CE375 5-disc carousel changer had a major flaw which may or may not be present in all their units. When loading a cd in tray 1 often the cd player would not drop the disc down into it's play position and therefore the front info. panel would say "No Disc". You would have to press "open" and then "close" it again before the cd player would then do it the proper way. This can be very irritating to say the least.
Summary: A nice cd player for only $120 Just to see I compared it to another base Sony cd player from 1990, a single-disc CDP-39. 10 years sure makes a difference! The specs are proof. The new one sounds noticably better. I also compared it to my 1991 Sony CDP-X555ES single-disc. The CDP-CE375 is good, but doesn't compare, not even close, but that is why the ES had a list price of $1000 The build quality of the 5 changer is just okay, all the parts fit togther well but it just...
Summary: Hallo liebe Leserinnen und Leser!
