Summary: I purchased this cd player after my Toshiba player of 20 years finally stopped working. I've had the machine for a couple of years, and it is the biggest piece of junk I've ever seen. 25 to 50 percent of the time, it will not read a cd properly. I have to take the cd out and put it back in (sometimes three or four times) before it finally gets it right. Other times it will play a brand new cd and suddenly start skipping.
Excerpt: I did not like this CD changer at all. I don’t like it because the CD changer fails to operate properly no matter what I try or who I talk to. For example, whenever I try the random play option, the CDs just stop playing after six or so …
Great player, and very solid performance under tough conditions I throw it!

Summary: I am a musician / entertainer doing a SOLO gig as a percussionist with music I create and mix down to CD, so this gets a lot of moving from gig to van to gig over and over and holds up very well. Have used these sony cdp ce 375's for 13 years. The unit can handle a busy vibrating dance floor with out skipping.
Summary: I bought this product to replace an old one that had finally worn out. This was not the model I was looking for, but I am certainly satisfied with it. It performs very well with upgraded features over the old one, which at the time was top-of-the-line. I find it easier to program with excellent signal transfer. I don't know how it compares to others at this time, but to me personally, it couldn't get much better than this.
Summary: I purchased this Sony product to replace my slowly failing Technics 5-disk carousel CD player purchased more than 20 years ago. Although I lack the technical sophistication to give a detailed appraisal, I can say that it more than meets my expectations relative to sound quality and ease of operation--especially, given its very low price at Vann's, which even included free shipping.
Summary: I had the same problem several other reviewers had. I put CDs in the player -- store-bought ones, not self-burned CDs -- and it simply refused to read them. I would put 5 CDs in, and the player would cycle through all 5 slots and then show "No Disc." I opened/closed, re-started, followed the minimal trouble-shooting guide on Sony's website -- nothing. I can at least say that the vendor (Vann's) was very cooperative when I called to report the problem.
Summary: I purchased this CD player to replace an old CD player. I am very pleased with this one because it is very easy to use and I am not electronically savvy. If you are looking for a nice basic CD player, this is definitely the one to consider.
Summary: This product was actually not what I needed. I imagine it is a great product, but it is not like a home stereo. You cannot plug speakers into it. To use it, you have to have other pieces of equipment. The company whom I purchased it from is a great company, very polite, professional, and courteous. They answer their emails very quickly, and honestly, and are very helpful.
Summary: The unit is very easy to connect and easy to use. There are a lot of options for disc play, but the instructions are easy to follow. The only negatives I've found are the lack of power on/off on the remote and the labeling of the function buttons on the unit face are difficult to read. (This unit replaces a 14 year old JVC that had the same display problem... I would have thought the industry standard would have improved by now).
