Summary: This player works OK. It is just a CD player with zero special features. It sounded OK through the built in DAC which is supposed to be something special. However it sounded a lot better through a couple of external DACs I tried, which is the reason I tried it. The deal breaker, and why I returned it, is because it just cannot handle any bumps from the floor. It will hop, skip and jump as you walk in the room.
Summary: Not a bad CD Player, but barely lasted a year before it would only play the first half of a disc, and then skip and act erratically. Then two days later wouldn't play any thing. Crutchfield tried to help, but I can't tell if I just bought a lemon.
Pros: Played well when it played.
Cons: Barely lasted one year. Button design for play and repeat is very confusing. All my other CD players lasted a long time.
Summary: Panel controls and the function display on the onkyo 7030 have some important features missing. The display does not tell you how many tracks are on the cd once it starts playing. You have to check the cd jewel case to find out how many tracks are left when playing. Panel controls are basic. Not what you would expect for a player of this cost. To go to a specific track instantly you must use the remote, which is annoying.
