Summary: I do not believe these would survive a life on the road, moving from venue to venue. I both two of these, and one of them the CD drive motor is malfunctioning already. PRO: - they are cheap, and provide some functions found only on higher priced units - nice and clean sound, distortion and hiss free CON: - durability is questionable - no USB uplink, so no serato or any software sync in the future
Summary: i bought one of these and i love the job wheels they r very nice...the sound is awesome... the only issue with this thing is if ur gonna dj u should have a reliable laptop with ur music in it... so u need a nice mixer that's compatible w the software of ur preferance. i tried djing a party using the usb but it was a huge mistake... i recommend it only if u have a good mixer that u plan to map to some decent software.... hope this helps...
Summary: This is a pretty good device. I also own a Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2. For the price, this deck is an excellent buy, it has usb functionality and cd functionality. The navigation is pretty simple and the other functions are nice as well. Pros: Price, functionality, and USB functionality. Cons: I've had my directory structure go bonkers, and I think it was related to not formatting the drive correctly, but still testing this and working with customer service.
Summary: You need speakers and a main unit for this as it doesnt have a system insite. It will however play CDs if you hook speakers to it. Just have to be careful to get compatible stuff/I got Bose which sounds great but just so bulky and "not portable" by the time I haul all this around to play a CD.
