Summary: I Replaced my Arcam Cd player after 7 years in finally give up on me. My Budget was low but wanted a Good player to replace the Arcam. I recently purchased the C516BEE player After 3 days of Listening the verdict is WOW.
Summary: This is my first NAD product, I'm not a big audiophile yet i feel like one after my first play on this deck! Simple and too the point to delivery music, that's all I wanted and this player delivered. Great features on remote so as to keep the button clutter down to a minimum on the chassis.
Pros: Super clean finish, smart looking, low profile fit.
Summary: I will be frank. I got this particular CD player for two reasons: 1) it's a NAD and will probably fetch a higher price on the used market should I ever decide to sell it and 2) its signal-to-noise ratio is considerably less than the competitors in the price range.
Pros: Elegant look and probably higher resale value than its competitors. Excellent S/N ratio (if you're into that kind of thing). ZERO bells and whistles
Cons: Sluggish initial disc loading; once it's loaded, though, it's a fast as any other CD player Chassis is too light. The force required to push any of the buttons on the front panel and to close the CD tray (sans button, ie the wrong way) is nearly the same amount of force required to move the whole...
Summary: I purchased the NAD C 516BEE CD player after my original CD player purchased in 1983 passed on. I already have a 200 CD carousel and was just looking for a replacement single. This CD player is very nice and is noticeably better than my 200 CD player.
Pros: Excellent reproduction of sound. Very nice mechanism, smooth as silk and so far problem free. Simple controls, just a nice player!
