Summary: The CD player worked well and sounded fine, but when I tried to play my iPad though the unit's USB port (an important reason for my purchase) I kept receiving an error message. Amazon tech support was very helpful and tried everything they could think of, but ultimately they told me to return it. Instead of getting a replacement, I instead decided to buy the Music Hall 15.3 CD player/DAC, with which I'm delighted.
Summary: Overall I was disappointed, it is a just a decent budget machine but nothing more. I found it lacking in top end detail and the bass was a bit flabby and lacking in definition. I found it struggled to portray enough emotion and ambiance of the vocals and mid-range. Overall I do not understand what all the hype is about, to me it is just pure marketing hype. To an audiophile it is best used as a transport in conjunction with a separate DAC (eg.

Summary: I was told that I would get a problem with the occasional problem with it not reading the track information but it was just too fussy for me. Had to keep finding the remote to move it to the next track. MP3 disks and USB devices with folders were a problem, the instructions say you can change folders but it is not working on my unit. Sound is amazing, I discovered I had been missing such a lot when testing out some of the old favourites.
