Summary: Wanted to ask if there really is a difference in sound quality in cd players? It is my understanding the information a player pulls from a cd is digital, one's and zero's, and it sends it to the receiver/prepro which converts it back to analog.
Summary: I don't want be too sarcastic, but i never heard angels singing, so I kind of envy these people that can discern nuance of high and low frequencies outside the range of human ears. I am also not looking to hear the singers gasping for air in between the words.

Summary: I bought this to replace a Marantz CD player which was about 10 years old which I thought was the bees knees, and to partner the Marantz PA6004 I also bought recently to replace an older model that had gone rather gritty in one channel. I read in reviews they were designed to work well toigether.

Summary: Quite a good product, I may say so. Far above my old Denon 1500 MK2 which costs me a fortune "few" years ago ! They made progresses, you can't deny that. Beware : with old CDs, as you can ear the difference you may be disappointed. But with good ones, this machine does it job pretty well.
