Summary: I started with the TEAC CD-P650 and quickly found it lacking (see my review). So I went to a local audio store for comparison and ruled out NAD, Rotel, and Arcam. After several hours in the store, I took the 6004 home for audition. The Marantz is a beast! Heavy and huge.
Summary: The volume fluctuates. it will be ok for a day or so, then suddenly go quiet. No it's not my amplifier. I have had to have it repaired. One of the circuits in the unit will have to be replaced. Details coming. The cost of the repair is AU$195. When it is working it is very good.
