Summary: I've had it since 2008, bought from Thrilling Audio. It has twice had fuctioning issues. The first time, after about a year. I sent it for repairs to an authorised dealer, Just Audio, in Baltimore MD. When it came back it still did not work properly.
Summary: My Teac CD player I bought 4 years ago started having dust troubles. I had to clean the lens Monthly, than weekly, sometimes twice and it still could not play many CD's proper, even brand new ones. So again on the search for a CD player, and based on other reviews I selected this Marantz CD5001.

Summary: I rarely write reviews but in this case I have to. If you are looking for a CD player you need to buy this one. This player is amazing and I cant belief how different the music sounds on my system.

CD players are only as good as their DAC chips/converters and quality of components, and fortunately, the CD5001 has a high-resolution 'Cirrus Logic' 24-bit/192 kHz chip, which...
Summary: Everyone knows the saying "You get what you pay for", but in this case, Marantz is practically paying you! This is a great bang for you buck type product. My friend owns the CD5001 and I have the pleasure of listening to it quite often.
