Kenwood DTS Surround Sensation™

Kenwood announces a world’s first integrated CD Player with DTS Surround Sensation™ (DTS Surround Sensation). The first prototypes were showcased during CES 2008, but now Kenwood has presented an advanced piece of hardware that incorporates DTS Surround Sensation. While it is a stand-alone CD player it is also compatible for use with video and PC connectivity. The DTS Surround Sensation™ is developed to deliver realistic, three-dimensional sensation of being completely surrounded by sound, and enables users to listen to these 3 dimensional sound over two-channel audio systems such as headphones or stereo speakers.

Features

First revealed during the 2008 CES, the DTS Surround Sensation™ for this CD player will be the highlighted features when presented during the A&V Festa 2009. It is announced as being compatible with a PC or HTPC speaker. No details as such on the product and there are speculations that it may go on sale in April.
