Summary: I bought this product because I had one other just like it, and I needed a second additional one. I like the digital rather than anology for sound quality. I like the fact of removing disc's while in playing mode. It has great features, and is so easy to operate. I wouldn't trade it for any other product...luv it!
Summary: I bought one of these at a yard sale last summer for $20 and it was the perfect solution for me to store 110 Dick Barkley Solid Gold CD radio shows and some other thing called Good Times Oldie Magazine. It didn't come with a remote however. I bought another one on ebay for like $40 because it had a remote with it and the remote sellers on ebay wanted $40 just for a remote for the unit.. Duhhhhh!Get the remote and the second 200 disc player comes with it for free?
Summary: Like many reviewers I encountered the apparently fatal skipping problems during playback. They started around the time the warranty expired and only got worse. Very frustrating. Years later, after learning what caused a similar problem with a DVD player (different brand), I discovered a fix. I removed the many CD boxes that I had piled on top of the player. Apparently the weight was too much. It has not skipped since!!
Summary: I've had this CD changer for about 4 years and have never had any problems with it. I initially bought it because I had other JVC AV equipment and liked the compulink with this CD player. It is a bit loud switching CDs but its always done so with out problems. The play quality was fine and it plays CDRs. The drawbacks? Inputing CD information (cumbersome with most players) is a pain even on my TV screen.
Summary: This player is a great way to organize your CD collection, and its wonderful to have 200 CD's at your fingertips! However, based on my experiences with this player, I wouldn't recommend this player, and here's why: 1.) Too many moving parts inside the player. Not only does this make changing CD's very noisy, it increases the likelihood of failure. After owning this model for 3 years with hardly any problems, one day it quit playing CD's.
Summary: When this unit jammed the first time, I took it in under warranty. Now it is jammed again and I am ready to give it to my local high school eletronics class and get a better one. It also skipped a lot for no reason. Another dissappointment: it cant play a random selection of a particular genre or user group. I am very dissappointed in JVC.
Summary: I got this player almost a year ago and it has worked flawlessly since then. I have never had a problem with skipping like other reviewers, the only time it skips is when I accidentally slam my dresser drawer (oops). The JVC compulink features are great, just hit play on the remote control and the player and the reciever turn on. Discs are easy to load and sound is great, my only complaint is the title input...
