Summary: This is an excellent CD player. The sound is superb with a very clear sound stage and firm image. I loved the sound of this player. My previous player was a little 'soft' - Denon and the Rega I had before that was a little hard.
Summary: Looks the business, built like a tank, most natural sounding CD player I've heard any where near this price point. Massed strings sound silky and finessed, with plenty of air around them. Wood winds sound natural, as do human voices.
Summary: I went through two of these and had to return both; here is why. Pros. CD Player looks great (I tried silver one), sound quality is exceptional. I have a mid level system consisting of ARCAM irDAC, Musical Fidelity M1HPA, Beyerdynamic T90 with upgraded Furutech iHP-35Hx cable, Furutech Evolution II...
Summary: I bought this model based on the upgraded drive and high ratings; I was not disappointed in the sound stage. I've connected mine, via Cardas .5m digital cable, to a Bifrost Uber DAC. Out of the box, the setup was very warm and very accurate; not overly bright.
Summary: Bought this to match the small integrated amp. Smooth yet detailed sound. 4 stars because I think it was a bit overpriced. Maybe not if it lasts longer than most CD players. I've been in professional audio for over 35 years and the Cambridge product delivers very good value and beautiful simple...
Summary: This is a great sounding CD player. It has a smooth and sophisticated sound. The build quality is excellent but what is slightly annoying is that when you are playing a track and you skip backwards instead of skipping to the beginning of that track it takes you to the previous track, in all my years...
Pros: sound , aesthetics , build quality
Cons: skip controls , remote conflict , dim display in daylight
Summary: I think the word that best describes the performance of this CD player is "balanced". The sound is open, clean and deep, like clear water, without any noticeable artefacts, that delivers the music with precision.
Summary: I had purchased items from Richer Sounds some years ago so looked on their web site when my CD player decided to give up the ghost. I had Cambridge Audio gear before so looked at that and found that the 351C had top rating with What Hi Fi - they were not wrong - so that is what I purchased.
