Probably best player at this price point.

Summary: Looks the business, built like a tank, most natural sounding CD player I've heard any where near this price point. Massed strings sound silky and finessed, with plenty of air around them. Wood winds sound natural, as do human voices. It is hard to fault this player on either sound quality or build; the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the remote (which is exceptionally ergonomic!) doesn't work. Cambridge Audio's QC should have caught that.
Summary: I went through two of these and had to return both; here is why. Pros. CD Player looks great (I tried silver one), sound quality is exceptional. I have a mid level system consisting of ARCAM irDAC, Musical Fidelity M1HPA, Beyerdynamic T90 with upgraded Furutech iHP-35Hx cable, Furutech Evolution II Interconnects, and Kimber Silver AGDL Digital cable, so I can tell the difference between a good and great sound.
Summary: Really nice looking player. Clean lines and seems to be built solid. I got the silver. Using it with vintage Phase Leaner Series Two components and Energy RC 10 speakers. Sound is great. Clean sound, super dynamics/range, separation, perfect low end. This unit came packaged really nice from Cambridge. Crufchfield got it to me super quick. Great people to work with.
Pros: Quality, mid line, audio phile.
Cons: A we bit pricy. But you get what you pay for.
Summary: I bought this model based on the upgraded drive and high ratings; I was not disappointed in the sound stage. I've connected mine, via Cardas .5m digital cable, to a Bifrost Uber DAC. Out of the box, the setup was very warm and very accurate; not overly bright. Now that all three (CD, cable, & DAC) have burned in, I get deeper bass than expected with dead-on mids and highs.
Summary: sound is noticebly better. I like the simplicity of the unit...NO extra junk...it's geared to "PLAY CD's" and that's what YOU GET. i AM LISTENING TO CD'S SITTING AT DRUMS WITH MIC AND MONITOR AT AN ACKWARD ANGLE FROM THE SURROUND SOUND.. NOW,.I CAN HEAR THE VOCALS,ETC AND AM ABLE TO DETECT SLIGHT THINGS IN THE SONGS THAT JUST WEREN'T THERE BEFORE! Better quality sound (EVEN FROM ITUNES BURNED SONGS and the remote is quick/easy to use, although a bit long!
Pros: QUIET, SMOOTHE DRAWER OPERATION SENSITIVE REMOTE ALLOWS LESS FRUSTRATING OPERATION FROM A LONG/ANGLED DISTANCE
Cons: IT SHOULD BE MANDATORY FOR ALL REMOTES TO BE BACK-LIT!!!!
Summary: I was excited to receive this unit. It looks great. Imagine my surprise when the CD tray only opened part way, and then would open and close by itself. Alignment issue maybe? Not bad for the price. Customer service was great and I had a replacement unit within days. Guess what? Same issue on this one.
Summary: I unwrapped this player and immediately liked the slim line look of it. The player has a simple build with the transport and transformer and hook ups. The sound was excellent right out of the box. I like the remote it is easy to use and it looks great too. My CD's have a great tone to them and I am very pleased with my purchase.
Pros: Easy to hook up, remote easy to use, and the sound and performance are great.
