Summary: The Multi-Card Reader is a plug and play like. Install the driver, plug the reader and its ready for use. The transfer speed of very large pictures from my CF card to my computer is incredibly fast with this reader.
Summary: This reader is solid, compact, and compatible with every card I have fed it so far. It is much faster than the USB 2 device I was using. Very reasonable price. The supplied cable is a bit short, but at least they supplied one.
Summary: A good addition to a DSLR Shooters bag transfers files fast. ill start with the pros first. Note: Update the Frimware first. It was very easy just download the firmware update tool from Transcend Website and Run the tool whilst the reader is connected to a USB port of your computer. + Transfers files fast I am using Lexar Professional 32 GB 400x and it didn't disappoint interms of speed. Got 60 MB/sec Read and 34 MB/Sec Write. Also attached Atto and Crystaldiskmark Pics.
Summary: This product was exactly what I was looking for and does not fail to perform impeccably the card reader is extremely fast for file transfers and reads in lightning speeds. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing an SD Card Hub my wife is a photographer and this little addition to our desk is greatly appreciated by her.
Summary: I was originally considering the Kingston's reader, for its metal body and high transfer rate, but that thing's high price made me hesitate, and I met this guy. I have been using Transcend memory devices for a few years, with a JetFlash 600 still being in use after 4 years of frequent use, so I didn't have a doubt on their quality. And I read from the Amazon from some guys that the speed of this thing is as fast as the Kingston's, that eliminated my only concern.
Summary: When I first purchased this card reader, the performance was unpredictable. Often the computer would stop recognizing it and it would have to be unplugged and replugged to restore it. I discovered that I could update a firmware update from Transcend's website. After updating the firmware, the card reader started working mostly as expected. It still doesn't like my EyeFi cards, but everything else seems to work fine.
Summary: This is a USB 3 card reader I use mainly for my CF cards as I need that for transferring my raw photos. I mostly use Kingston 266X 16GB CF cards for shoots. CF cards - Kingston 16GB 266X speed (red ones) - OK Patriot 32GB SD card - OK. MacBook USB 2 - OK. I have tried this machine on my MacBook which had USB 2 slots only on which it worked well. It is backward compatible with USB 2 and works with Macbook. Win 8 Desktop USB 3 - OK.
Summary: Great little card reader… Came earlier in the mail than expected . Does what it supposed to do... Both my CF and SDM chips fits into the slot no problem. Bought it originally to update the firmware on both my cameras the Canon 7D and T2i… There was some reviews that my MacBook would not recognize the reader… So I plugged it in and Et Voilá no problems. The short coming…. The cable is a wee bit short so the reader does't sit flat on my desk. Other than that...
