Nice little piece of hardware

Benjamin G., Newegg
24 January 2009
  • Summary: Glad I got a nice card reader like this one. I have a suggestion to Transcend about their upcoming card readers... add some rubber feet ! That'd be great ! Highly recommended.
  • Pros: Card reader looks good AND sturdy. Included Quick Start Guide is very complete and can be helpful for newbies (in no less that 11 languages !). It works great with everything I throw at it in Windows AND Linux. The translucent blue activity LED looks cool while not being overwhelming.
  • Cons: The piece of hardware is somewhat light and small. It could be easy to loose. No big deal, though.

Works great but watch out

James M., Newegg
8 January 2009
  • Summary: I use both SD cards and CF cards. SD cards worked perfectly. However, I was ready to pitch this thing out when it would not read Compact Flash cards and the card slot was tight. Well, it turns out that you have to flip CF cards upside down for them to work in this thing.
  • Pros: Cheap Works perfectly Tiny Light is very subdued As fast as any other reader
  • Cons: Very small and faint lettering for cards

Great Card Reader!!!

Anonymous, Newegg
21 July 2008
  • Summary: If you are in the market for an external memory card reader I would recommend this one. It's sleek, small and easy to install!
  • Pros: Nice size and look, very compact and easy to install. XP Pro recognizes with no problems at all. No software needed. I have a Sony Ericsson phone with sony's memory stick pro duo and with the adapter it makes putting music onto my phone much easier than having to plug it into my computer thus dis...
  • Cons: Its not silver to match my case??(not really a con, but hey why not)

Small and fast

Richard H., Newegg
24 June 2008
  • Summary: You may need a longer USB cable as the one included is about 3 ft long.
  • Pros: It is small and fast. I have it attached to my the side of my monitor with double sided tape. SD cards fit in nicely and feel securely seated. Has a nice low key blueish light that indicates transfer activity.
  • Cons: xD slot is on the "back" and may not be very useful for those using that slot type.

Very Nice!!

Virgil M., Newegg
30 March 2008
  • Summary: It simply works. It's much smaller then you would expect. Smaller then a deck of cards, which is nice for the camera case. When inserting SD cards it doesn't seem like you have pushed hard enough to have it fully inserted, but once you get used to it, it's actually very good because its easier to...
  • Pros: Works as advertised on SD Cards. Attaches by a cable, which is included.
  • Cons: None yet. I have only used it for SD cards so far.
