Summary: A friend recently purchased a Nikon D700 and was downloading his files via USB from the camera. On average, it would take about 10 minutes to download a few .NEF files; roughly 500 MB. It took me a couple minutes to download 1.5 GB of .CR2 and .JPG files to my laptop. Definitely much faster. Especially nice if you've got a Mac since there's no driver to install, just plug-in-play! Great purchase!
Summary: This card reader is not only fast, but it is also dependable since the slot for loading cards are very deep, which can prevent bending or breaking pins, especially when using CF cards. It looks great too, with its brushed aluminum top.
Pros: Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Reliable
Summary: There are a lot of cheeseball card readers out there with cockypoopy, unreliable contacts, bad fitting slots, no clear labelling and not too "Universal" USB compatability. This card reader is not one of those.
Pros: Durable Dock, Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Long Cable, Reliable
Summary: I needed it for my laptop while traveling. I have xD, SM, and SD picture cards. Laptop only took SD cards. It really fits my needs well. Just plug and play using a USB Port. Nice and compact as well.
