Excerpt: I do professional photography. I've had many card readers over the years and wanted to upgrade to USB 3 after getting new computer. After a couple of uses on a compact flash when card inserted it went immediately to FORMAT CARD. The slot seems like the card won't go in straight and I think it damaged one of my cards in the process. Got a second reader, same one. Seems to work on all my cards if you can manage to get it in the slot.
Excerpt: My new computer has a built in card reader but did not support the larger compact Flash cards. Bought this as a stand alone, to cover every card out there. It runs on the newer USB 3.0 and is much faster than even the higher speed USB 2.0. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars was due to the hefty price and the white only color (great if you have a Mac), that does not match any of my other computer components. Excellent product, covers all bases, and does it FAST!
Excerpt: The SanDisk ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Memory Card Reader is a must have device for anyone who transfer large photo image files from your camera to a computer. A professional photographer will sure find this device a great tool to put in his or her camera bag. But the only negative comment I would add is the magnetic plate that attaches the card reader to the stand came off right out of the box when I opened it.
Pros: Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Long Cable, Reliable
Excerpt: Let me start by saying that I've used SanDisk cards and readers since I bought my first DSLR many years ago and I've always been very happy with them. When I recently bought a new MacBookPro I bought this reader to take advantage of the new USB 3.0 port. Unfortunately, the firmware for the reader needs to be upgraded in order for the reader to function. This wouldn't be a big deal except the upgrade can only be accomplished on a Windows computer which I've never owned.
Excerpt: I got this reader to be a permanent fixture at my photography workstation. I like this reader. It's fast, with the latest USB protocol, and looks cool. I found however that the supplied USB cable is rather stiff, such that the reader won't stay put on the tripod base because it's attached by magnet. The ferrous strip wasn't seated well on my instance so maybe that's why. Either way the product needs a little more work either in design or their quality control.
Excerpt: The product looks and works great. I have no idea what the designer was thinking about the magnetic stand. The cord is stiff enough to knock the dock off the stand. I could not make it work the way it was intended. The color and finish were fine, and I liked the design, but the stand didn't work in any way.
Pros: Dock Is A Fail, Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Long Cable, Reliable
Excerpt: I needed something to clear my archive of compact flash cards by uploading the large number of photographs onto my desk top computer and iCloud. This did the trick perfectly. My iMac recognized it immediately.
Pros: Compact Use Little Space, Durable Dock, Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Long Cable, Reliable
