Very Fast!!

Chris, Staples
14 March 2014
  • Excerpt: My new computer has a built in card reader but did not support the larger compact Flash cards. Bought this as a stand alone, to cover every card out there. It runs on the newer USB 3.0 and is much faster than even the higher speed USB 2.0. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars was due to the hefty price and the white only color (great if you have a Mac), that does not match any of my other computer components. Excellent product, covers all bases, and does it FAST!

SanDisk ImageMate 3.0 USB Reader

JSA Photography, Staples
24 December 2013
  • Excerpt: The SanDisk ImageMate All-in-One USB 3.0 Memory Card Reader is a must have device for anyone who transfer large photo image files from your camera to a computer. A professional photographer will sure find this device a great tool to put in his or her camera bag. But the only negative comment I would add is the magnetic plate that attaches the card reader to the stand came off right out of the box when I opened it.
  • Pros: Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Long Cable, Reliable

Useless on a Mac

Adorama
16 December 2013
  • Excerpt: Let me start by saying that I've used SanDisk cards and readers since I bought my first DSLR many years ago and I've always been very happy with them. When I recently bought a new MacBookPro I bought this reader to take advantage of the new USB 3.0 port. Unfortunately, the firmware for the reader needs to be upgraded in order for the reader to function. This wouldn't be a big deal except the upgrade can only be accomplished on a Windows computer which I've never owned.

Works great but magnetic base unreliable

Tristan, Adorama
12 November 2013
  • Excerpt: I got this reader to be a permanent fixture at my photography workstation. I like this reader. It's fast, with the latest USB protocol, and looks cool. I found however that the supplied USB cable is rather stiff, such that the reader won't stay put on the tripod base because it's attached by magnet. The ferrous strip wasn't seated well on my instance so maybe that's why. Either way the product needs a little more work either in design or their quality control.
  • Pros: Fast Transfer, Looks Cool, Reliable
  • Cons: Magnetic Dock Fails, Stiff Cable

Great versatility w/o stand

Imrick, Staples
26 September 2013
  • Excerpt: The product looks and works great. I have no idea what the designer was thinking about the magnetic stand. The cord is stiff enough to knock the dock off the stand. I could not make it work the way it was intended. The color and finish were fine, and I liked the design, but the stand didn't work in any way.
  • Pros: Dock Is A Fail, Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Long Cable, Reliable
  • Cons: Dock Is A Fail
