Summary: Plugged it in, WinXP "found new hardware," then got an error message that I might have trouble with my new hardware... Rebooted, tried again, and the reader's little green light never came back on. Chinese quality control is getting too sloppy. I'd rather pay more for something that'll work.
Summary: I think NewEgg needs to have the manufaturer of these do a little stress testing. Reflects badly on Newegg's Rosewill brand.
Pros: Great while it worked.
Cons: My little blue Rosewill SDHC reader died today. Plugged it into a USB port, the green LED briefly lit, then nothing. I then plugged my camera into the same USB port and WinXP found it and D/L the files. One month of life is a little too short for me. Bummer.
Summary: If you are ordering an SDHC card and just need a cheap way to read them until you get a better reader then this works a treat. Don't use it for your day-to-day work.
Pros: It's cheap, and reads SDHC cards.
Cons: Card transfer speeds are slow, but not agonizingly so. It took me about 16 minutes to read 4 gigs of data to a local drive. Not terrible, not wonderful. I've since gotten a SanDisk reader for home and left this one in my desk at work for those times I need to read a card and I'm not at home.
