Summary: I needed an adaptor when I got it specifically because it said it didn't need one, I had to go out and buy one because the website had this item's specs mislabled, other than that the item works perfectly, more so impressed it worked perfectly in Ubuntu Linux
Pros: No driver needed, works flawlessyly in Ubuntu Linux, fast, no outside power source needed
Cons: website listed MS PRO DUO stick as not needing the adaptor for this product, but when I got the package the text ont he product it self said otherwise
Summary: I ordered the first, and it didn't work on any of the four computers I tested it on (reading 2 different XD picture cards). I RMA'd it, recieved the second one and it does the exact same thing - fails reading anything from an XD picture card. Both were brand new.
Pros: None - I thought it might be a good value, but there's no value in a product that does not work at all.
Cons: None of them will read XD picture cards on any computer I've tested. They either hang up or Windows will halt the operation because an I/O error has occured.
Summary: Only used CF and SD cards in it, as they are the only type I have or need.
Pros: Seems to work well -- have tried it under Windows and Debian Linux and, well, you plug in the adapter, put in your card, and it works beautifullly.
Cons: Plastic shell seems kind of flimsy, but then again, what were you expecting? The thing says that it supports all of these various types, but as you can well imagine, you need an adapter to convert some of the newer, mini cards to their larger predecessor, which is not included.
