Summary: Don't buy it - Cheap and doesn't work. Get what you pay for - I have learned that lesson again. I will have to pay shipping to send it back so it isn't worth it. In the trash it goes.
Pros: None - This thing was dead on arrival and even worse, caused problems with Windows.
Cons: Installed in my latest computer build and it was DOA. Windows was taking forever to boot and I couldn't figure out why. Windows couldn't figure out what this drive was so it took forever to boot. Bought a Sony. worth the money. You can feel the difference in quality and it was recognized by Windo...
Summary: it would have cost more to return it then to get a new one, so, i didn't get one. the laptop works just fine for the hassle. I still have it, maybe one day I will go out and "relieve some frustrations" on it :D
Pros: its black and it worked.... for a while holds doors open.... wait - no its too light for that.
Cons: it started freezing my comp during file transfers, used that same sd card on my laptop and it worked flawlessly. never did get anything successfully transfered.
Pros: Easy to install, had no issues on my Vista machine, fits perfectly into the 3.5". USB 2.0 so it's fast. Had no problem with 2GB SD cards like others had mentioned everything works fine and it also supports SDHC cards. Has a USB port and looks great too.
Cons: On the top two card slots the cards must be inserted upside down. Also it has two status lights and one of them stays on the entire time. Small cons, mostly just annoyances.
Pros: Card readers always worked. However the USB port failed in 3 months... read below...
Cons: After 3 months, the USB ports on this product could no longer support read/write operations of more than 3-5 seconds. Any flash drive I used would fail during read/write in this time. (Conversely, using the back USB mobo ports worked perfectly). I suppose I could only speculate that its electroni...
Summary: I bought two units a the same time. One for a XP Pro machine and one for a Vista Ultimate machine. It works great in my XP machine. THe Vista machine locks up every time I try to read a card. I swapped the units. Same thing.
Pros: Great for XP. Works pretty good.
Cons: Bad for Vista. Cards slide in very tight and have to be wiggled around to work.
