Excerpt: I use MobileLite G3 for Class 10 fast reading SD cards for my DSLR to computer file transfer. It keeps up with 45MBs cards. And will do Class 8 at their speeds of 20 to 25MBs. Micro SD too. I like that it's compact and the blue color looks cool. However, the pull over shrouds feel cheap and flimsy. This is a great value as there are not many compact USB3 SD Card readers to choose from.
Pros: Excellent Interface, Fast Transfer, Lightweight
Excerpt: I've only had this for a week so bear that in mind but so far I have no complaints. I do a lot of HD video and I record on fast SD and micro SD cards so having the USB 3 adapter really speeds up my transfer time of large files. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that it's a little too wide to be able to use the USB port next to it. There is no cable, it plugs directly into a USB 3 port. I do like that but at the sacrifice of the adjacent port.
Excerpt: The less-than-precise sliding ends have been fairly well covered here. The one on the card end completely covers the cards when extended, making the unit into a protected and pocketable "thumb drive". Another review says it also serves as a write lock when not extended. The little U-shaped notch at the top right of the "MobileLite" side sort-of exposes an activity LED, but by the time it shines through the movable cover it is too dim to notice under most light levels.
Excerpt: this thing is so light it feel cheap, but it's not -- it's well made. it's sort of odd how it has two sleeves that slide in and out on each end. i guess they do offer some protection. bottom line is, this works and works well. i've had no issues with it.
Pros: Durable Dock, Fast Transfer, Lightweight, Reliable
Excerpt: I bought this as an inexpensive, very portable USB 3.0 reader. It supports standard and micro SD cards without an adapter and it's fast. The construction is obviously cheap and appears fragile. I have little confidence it stand up to any abuse.
