came in damaged and is missleading only 1 speaker when expecting 2
17 April 2014
Summary: Thought id be getting a good deal for the speaker but when it comes in 2 buisness days late, is damaged, and short one speaker it really takes back from the speaker itself, haven't ran the speakers yety and i dont know if i want to with the poor quality, may just send it back and buy differently.
Summary: Seems to be a larger mounting depth than described.
Pros: Looks great. Good packaging. Slow shipping
Cons: Not sure yet. I just received my speaker today (took forever to get here even with supposed priority shipping) and there were no screws or cables, even though they are included in the picture and description. The speaker looks great but I can not install the speaker in my box since I did not get all of the required accessories.
Summary: I just hooked them up and boom this speaker is great!!! Wife didn't look happy and the neighbors didn't look happy. So that make me happy lol. I do plan on getting other one. The only thing I didn't like is I got 3-5 day shipping and it took longer then that!! So just go with standard shipping. Don't know what took so long but it is what it is. So I say get it you'll be happy!!! You'll just have to wait longer then they say....
Summary: It;s a nice, cheap speaker. But it still is a cheap speaker. My only gripe is the mounting on the basket. Less importantly, the holes do not line up with the cone graphic. That is, if the holes are mounted straight (horizontal/vertical whatever) the graphic is off by like 5 degrees, for me. More importantly, the basket mounting holes are super tiny, and the rubbery blue surround doesnt allow a very large screw head.
Summary: I purchased these for my daughter's car along with a Kenwood 1000 watt amp and they perform great. I have seen some reviews where people dogged these subs, but apparently they went with what was "cool" at the time. Yes Rockford Fosgate are good, so are diamond and JBL and JL Audio and Kicker, but I blew out my windshield with a pair just like this in high school so I knew their capabilities.
Summary: bottom line is that if you do not build your box to the correct airspace, not only will it sound inferior to how it should. but you also take the huge risk of destroying either your amp or speakers. do it right. make sure you are useing proper impendence drivers. make sure your box has the correct airspace. making ports or huge boxes is always a bad idea.
Pros: you MUST make sure you do your audio installation correctly. if you do not you wind up destroying your subwoofer or your amplifier your subwoofer is a motor.. it works just like a electric motor does. it has magnets and coil of wire, when energised the coil pushes and pulls from the magnet making the axle move.. a motor would spin, a speaker pulses in and out. but its still a motor.. what happens when you stop a electric motor from spinning yet keep the power on? you ...
Cons: if your box is too small you destroy your amplifier because impendence changes with speakers movement. the speaker not moving far enough because of restrained movment will cause the drop to be too low. the amplifer has to fight a dangerious load and usually overheats and fries.. if your box is too big your speaker moves too great of a distance and usually your surround or spider will stretch over time which would cause voice coil rub, and eventually destruction. if no...
