Summary: These subwoofers are amazing! they are cheap, but still produce lots of sound. in my testing, it takes around 150-400 watts rms for these to work nicely, depending on the note you are listening to. i did have to remove the foam ring around the edge, as it was making a clicking noise as it was coming in contact with the surround. i would recommend these subwoofers to anybody.
Summary: I would of gave it 5 stars but needing so much room almost 5cu. feet I'm using a 1.75 dual woofer, single port box and they hit extremely well, i have 2 of them at 1 ohm and about 1300 watts. the connection points are a bit weak (easily bendable) not much distortion at higher levels but there is a tiny bit. I think it's cause of the box...otherwise decent entry lvl stuff definetly enough to shake ur mirrors, clean looking..
Summary: i bought this sub having pretty high intentions bc I have owned pyle subs before and really loved them. I had it for all of three days hooked up to a sony explode 680 watt amp. the bass on the amp was not even turned to half and my bass boost on my deck was off and bass level set at -3.
Summary: I just received 2 of the PL1290BL's this morning. It took 4 days to arrive to me even though they weren't shipped very far, but thats not a big deal. As I had received my Pyle 2000w-2ch amp and dual 12" sealed box earlier this week, I was prepared to set everything up and had them bumping in my car in no time. The Dual Voice Coil (DVC) is a little confusing if you've never wired a sub to an amp before, or if you're just used to Single Voice Coils (SVC).
