Summary: Doesn't handle 1000w, even in a sealed box. Sounds muddy. Makes popping sounds at volumes still well within comfortable listening range in a small pickup. At most volumes, I can hear the surround grazing the gasket.
Summary: i bought this and the Pyramid PB717X 1,000 watt amp. thinking I would be lucky if I could use it at 20% power and get alittle bit of thump. Let me tell you I can turn it up enough that it hurts my ears after awhile. I bridged the amp and I'm telling you most of my friends are really impressed with the set up and when I tell them how much it cost. its a no brainer.
Summary: I have 2 10inch version of these subs in a best buy ported box running on a planet audio ac1600.4 amp and these definitely sound good. They could not handle 1000 watts but a good wattage is 300-500.
best cheap subs, but if you pay a little more you can get better quality.

Summary: grate for the price, if you are making a budget build this is a good option, i had 3 of these but latter upgraided to JL 10 inch subs, the 1000 watt part in the title or on the box is BS i had 600 watt rms maxing these out, then when i got a 10000 watt rms i killed them just for fun. do keep in mind that you can kill one of these if your car is been sitting in the sun and you open the door and its hot in the car and you start bumping it, the sub might blow its voice coil...
Summary: I was quite surprised by these little guys. I am not the biggest fan of 10in subs, they just don't envelope you in a cocoon of bass like 15s do, but these Pyles are quite nice. My girlfriend wanted some tunes in her New car. She listens to mainly Pop, Rock & country, wanted to not lose to much trunk space. So I figured a couple 10s in a sealed box outta set her up properly. I have these 2 subs powered from a mono Kenwood amp pushing about 200 watts to each sub.
