Summary: Worked great. After i installed the speaker, My amp for my after market 12 in polk audio sub went out and i couldnt even really tell. This little sub bumps pretty good. Easy install on 2001 tahoea ls if u take the plastic ring off the speaker before installation.
Conclusion: I love these woofers. They put out that deep booming sound. I initially had two of these woofers and they really sound great. They sounded so good I had to purchase two more to generate a deeper booming sound. I have all four of them installed in my Nissan Titan under the bottom of my rear seats.
Summary: I'm on the fence with the pair that I bought. I used them to replace worn out Punch XLC's that were in a form-fitted box under the rear bench. I keep hearing a slight rattling. And I'm almost sure it's coming from the speaker centers.
Summary: I bought this sub to replace a torn factory sub in a Yukon xl. The fit wasn't exact but I modified the stock box and it sounds great. This sub sounds really good with the factory set up. There is plenty of bass coming out if this sub. This is a really good price for a sub of this quality.
Summary: I was hesitant to get this after several reviews stated it would not fit my Tahoe yet Crutchfield said it would but would need to drill new mounting holes. Crutchfield was correct. If you remove the rubber gasket/ring it fits the factory sub box.
Pros: Bass is strong. It is only 8" so my expectations were not high and the Polk is an improvement over the OEM sub. At $60 you can't really go wrong.
Summary: I bought this to replace the blown factory subwoofer in my 2002 Tahoe. Crutchfield said it would fit but it didn't. The speaker was just slightly too large to fit into the box. I just drilled and screwed it on over the insert.
Pros: Seems like a good quality woofer with lots of base
Cons: Didn't fit into my Tahoe and creates some very bad sounding booming and vibration
