Summary: I owned two of these a few years back and now that i look back at it i realize they were way too much for me. Im not exactly sure how these were hooked up because my friend did it while i was at work. But let me tell you did they ever pound.
Conclusion: I was looking for some new subs after my lanzer max st blew out, I got two of these subs and the sound way better have a deeper sound and shakes my truck a lot more then the lanzers did, buy these subs they are worth the money and feel amazing
Summary: The flex wires on these that go from the terminals to the cone are encased in a black rubber sleeve. This is a no no. I assume they did this to make it "weather resistant" but it prevents the "flex wires" from doing their job and wears them out at the terminal.
Summary: I bought this to install in my suburban with a Polk digital amp as part of an all Polk Audio speaker setup. The amp's feeding 400 watts (at .1% distortion!) to it.The bass is very clean and tight, not muddy or boomy at all (I've got it in a non-ported box that meets Polk's specs).
Conclusion: I bought a complete sound system for my car a few months ago and I was a little worried that only a 12 inch sub wasn't going to do much...I was wrong! This sub is awesome and is a lot more powerful than I thought.
